What is Empowering Health?

Empowering Health is a cash-pay medical spa with offices in Lawrenceburg and Batesville, Indiana. Most of what it offers is aesthetic: wrinkle reduction, facial fillers, microneedling, laser services and regenerative medicine, which includes PRP injections. What does it cost?

Empowering Health does not publish a price for its medically supervised weight loss, does not name the weight loss medication, and does not state a consultation fee. It does not say whether it accepts insurance.

Its published prices are mostly for aesthetic work. Its Botox by-the-area program, in a post dated May 23, 2022, lists $220 every three months ($74 a month) for angry lines, $340 every three months ($114 a month) for expression lines, and $420 every three months ($140 a month) for the upper third of the face. Prepaying for a year brings those to $850, $1300 and $1600. Each friend referred, and each Google or Facebook review, earns $20 off. Because that post is from 2022, confirm the prices are current before you rely on them.

Laser prices are $100 for chin or armpit hair removal, $200 for bikini, and $300 for back or legs. Dark spot removal is $250 for 10 minutes, spider vein removal is $300 for 15 minutes, and IPL photofacial is $300. The clinic has a payment plans page, but its text gives no terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which weight loss medication the program uses, whether it is brand-name or compounded, and whether the monthly fee includes it. Ask who signs the prescription and whether Dr. Garrett sees you in person or by telemedicine at each step. Ask what the first consultation, each follow-up visit and any lab work cost. If the program is a membership, ask how to cancel and whether there is a fee.

Ask whether there is a hormone therapy program and what it costs, since the clinic mentions hormone lab testing but gives no treatment details. Ask whether it takes insurance, accepts HSA or financing, and what its payment plan terms are. Finally, ask its office hours and which office, Lawrenceburg or Batesville, you would be seen at.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you mainly want skin, injectable or laser treatments and would also like a nurse practitioner to see you for weight loss or lab work. It is a weaker fit if you need the medication name and a published monthly price before you call, since neither is given.
