About Premier Weight Loss Indianapolis

What is Premier Weight Loss Indianapolis?

Premier Weight Loss Indianapolis is a medical weight loss practice with two offices, one in Indianapolis and one in Fishers, founded in 2023. Its main work is prescribing GLP-1 medications for weight loss. It names Ozempic, Zepbound, Wegovy and Mounjaro, and also Foundayo, which it describes as the first oral GLP-1 pill.

Dr. Scott Friedman, MD, is the medical director and is board-certified in obesity medicine and emergency medicine. Five nurse practitioners are also listed as prescribers: Victoria Langhammer, Samantha Pugh, Ashley Kauffman, Andrea Johnson and Allison Pate. Each is a Family Nurse Practitioner. Besides the injections, the practice offers nutritional coaching with registered dietitians, InBody 970 body composition scans, and visits either in person or by video from anywhere in Indiana. No hormone, peptide or longevity services are listed.

The practice has a 5.0 Google rating from 103 reviews. In its own words: "We exclusively prescribe brand-name GLP-1 agonists. We never use compounded or generic alternatives."

This listing is for its Indianapolis office at 10475 Crosspoint Blvd Ste 315.

What does it cost?

The first month is a one-time $45, which covers an assessment, an InBody scan and a one-hour consultation. After that, membership is $145 a month for unlimited appointments, scans and coaching. The monthly membership fee drops the longer you stay, reaching $75 a month after 48 months. GLP-1 medication is priced separately: Wegovy starts at $125 a month and Zepbound at $275 a month, described as up to 75% less than retail pharmacy prices. It does not say whether those medication prices are added to the membership or included in it.

GLP-1 discounts of $15 to $35 a month apply only to medication the practice prescribes itself. It does not bill insurance. It accepts cash, credit or debit cards, and HSA or FSA cards. It does not publish a price for virtual visits. Weight loss treatment is available only to active members.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $125 or $275 medication price is added to the $145 membership or is the full monthly cost. Ask who signs your prescription, since the practice lists a physician and five nurse practitioners without saying who writes each one. Ask what a virtual visit costs, because no price is published for it. Ask whether lab work and follow-up tests cost extra. Cancellation is listed as anytime, but virtual plans carry 3 or 6 month commitments, so confirm which applies to you. Ask what happens to your treatment if your membership lapses. Finally, ask what off-label divided dosing means for your prescription, since it is noted for two of the medications and whether it changes the price.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live in Indianapolis, Fishers or nearby towns such as Carmel, Noblesville or Westfield, can pay cash for membership and medication, and want GLP-1 care from a physician-led practice, in person or by video. It is not a match if you need insurance billing, or hormone, peptide or longevity care.
