About Defiant Health

What is Defiant Health?

Defiant Health is a med spa and wellness clinic at 5100 Lincoln Ave in Lisle, Illinois. Most of its menu is aesthetics and recovery work, including Botox and neurotoxins, dermal fillers, facials, microneedling, IV drips, hyperbaric oxygen and cryotherapy. Medical weight loss is one of its services, along with peptide therapy and hormone optimization (HRT). The weight loss program uses semaglutide and tirzepatide under a custom GLP-1 protocol. Its peptide menu includes sermorelin and tesamorelin.

Consultations and follow-up check-ins can be done by telehealth for patients in Naperville and the western suburbs, and medication can be shipped or picked up. The first 3D body scan is done in Lisle, and weekly nurse check-ins are part of the weight loss program. A $50 virtual consult is open to anyone in Illinois.

No prescriber is named. The practice says a medical director oversees its protocols and that a lead nurse builds each plan, but no medical director is named and it does not say who writes prescriptions. It does not state how long it has been open. It has a 4.9 rating from 146 Google reviews.

What does it cost?

A custom GLP-1 protocol starts at $295 a month. It does not say whether medication is included in that price, so ask. The $50 consultation fee is separate and is not credited toward a program. Virtual consults also cost $50. Membership starts at $50 a month, and members save 20% on programs. In its own words: "Pricing is discussed during your consultation."

Membership has no contracts and no cancellation fees, and there is a 90-day money-back guarantee. The practice operates outside insurance, so you pay cash. Many members use HSA or FSA funds, and superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement. It does not publish prices for hormone therapy or peptide therapy.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes your prescription, and get that person's name and credentials in writing. Ask whether the $295 monthly price includes the medication, and what your full monthly bill would be.

Ask whether the GLP-1 medication is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy supplies it. Its peptides are custom-compounded, so ask how the clinic checks its sources.

Ask what the bloodwork, the at-home lab sample, the 3D body scans and the check-ins cost on top of the program. Ask whether membership is required to get the 20% member savings and whether it renews automatically.

For the 90-day refund, ask what counts as a measurable difference and whether medication you have already used is refunded. If you plan telehealth visits, ask whether you will see the same prescriber who saw you in person.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want aesthetic work and cash-pay weight loss in one place, and you can get the prescriber's name and the full monthly cost in writing before you pay. It is a weaker fit if you need insurance billing or want a named physician on record before you commit.
