What is American CliniX?
American CliniX is a physician-led weight loss, wellness and aesthetic clinic at 802 W Bartlett Rd in Bartlett, IL. Weight loss is one of its main programs, but most of its menu is aesthetic: body contouring, Botox Cosmetic, microneedling, facials and Cryo Maxi Lipo fat reduction. It also offers hormone therapy (TRT and HRT), a Longevity & Hormone Wellness program, IV hydration, StemWave pain treatment and a Wellness POD with an oxygen bar. Google lists it as a medical spa, with a 5 rating from 16 reviews.
The prescriber it names is Dr. Kenneth Michael Welch, MD, its CEO and Medical Director, who has over three decades of experience. Its weight loss medications named are semaglutide, tirzepatide and GLP-1s. It also runs a telemedicine program that uses compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, in injectable or oral form. It does not list peptide therapy as its own treatment. It is open Tuesday through Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday. The phone number is (630) 855-6998.
What does it cost?
It publishes two weight loss medication prices: one month of semaglutide for $199 and one month of tirzepatide for $299. It labels both as limited-time offers and asks callers to phone to claim them. It does not say whether those prices include visits or only the medication. New patients get a complimentary body scan and consultation.
For its telemedicine plan, it says: "Every plan includes 1:1 provider support, lifestyle coaching, and progress tracking for one clear monthly price." It does not publish that price. It does not publish a consultation fee, membership terms or cancellation terms. It says certain obesity treatment may qualify for insurance coverage when medically necessary, but it does not say whether it accepts insurance. It lists Cherry Financing among its patient options.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes and signs the prescription, and whether Dr. Welch will see you or another provider will. Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication, and what visits, lab work and monthly follow-up cost on top of it. Its own wording notes that compounded medications are not FDA-approved, so ask whether the semaglutide or tirzepatide you would receive is brand-name or compounded.
Ask whether the $199 and $299 prices stay in place after the limited-time offer ends, what a consultation costs without the complimentary visit, and whether it accepts insurance. Ask how a monthly program is cancelled and whether there is a fee. If you are considering the telemedicine route, get the monthly price in writing before you commit.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want physician-led weight loss care near Bartlett and are comfortable paying cash for a program whose total cost is not yet clear. It also suits anyone who wants aesthetic treatments under the same roof. Worth a call before you book if you want a straight answer on the prescriber, the type of medication and the cancellation terms.
