What is Renu Medispa?
Renu Medispa is a medical spa at 600 E. Riverside Dr. in Eagle, Idaho, and it says it sees patients from all over the Boise area. Its main business is aesthetic work: injectables, lasers, body contouring and skin health. Alongside that, it offers medical weight loss, hormone replacement, peptide therapy and annual wellness labs, plus IV therapy, exosomes and diVa vaginal rejuvenation. It has been open since 2003, by its own account.
The medications named on its weight loss and hormone pages are GLP-1 medications, which it says are used in certain cases, MIC lipotropic and B12 injections, and bioidentical hormone pellets. The clinic does not name who prescribes. Its hormone care is described as consultations with a board-certified Nurse Practitioner, and its weight loss program refers only to its medical staff. It is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM, and closed on weekends.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices. The weight loss program says cost depends on duration, customization and which components are included, and that you learn the figure at a consultation. Hormone care also sends you to a consultation for an accurate cost. It does not state a consultation fee, whether medication is included in a program, or whether it accepts insurance. Memberships run 12 months, and the clinic does not say how cancellation works.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with who signs the prescription. Its weight loss program puts it this way. In its own words: "Our program is designed and supervised by our experienced medical staff." Ask which of those staff members is a prescriber and whether a physician is involved.
Ask whether the program fee includes the GLP-1 medication, and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask what the lab work costs. Hormone care requires lab results from a blood draw before pellet insertion, so find out who pays for that testing and whether follow-up visits and monitoring are extra. Ask how a 12-month membership cancels and whether you can leave early. Ask whether the clinic bills insurance and whether any part of your care can be done by telehealth, since the clinic does not say either.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in Boise or Eagle, want aesthetic treatments and weight loss, hormone or peptide care in one place, and are ready to pay cash on a 12-month membership without a published price.
