What is Restore FM?
Restore FM, formally Restore Functional Medicine, is a functional medicine practice at 3271 N Milwaukee St Suite 201 in Boise, Idaho. It focuses on finding the root cause of symptoms. Its listed services are functional medicine, primary care for children and adults, hormone replacement therapy, peptide therapy, regenerative medicine, IV infusions, telemedicine, natural aesthetics, neural therapy and Galleri cancer screening.
Its hormone care includes bio-identical pellet placement, synthetic hormone therapy, and traditional testosterone replacement for men through injections and creams. Its peptide care is prescribed for injection at home. The practice says it uses GLP-1 and GIP peptides for weight loss, insulin resistance and chronic metabolic disease, and it names sermorelin and NAD+ among its recovery and performance options. Its materials do not name the clinician who prescribes.
Telehealth visits are offered to patients in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. Listed hours are Monday through Thursday, 09:00 to 17:00, and Friday, 09:00 to 1:00. It has 5 stars on Google from 42 reviews.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices. It says its pricing is reasonable, affordable and transparent, and that it will provide a pricing list on request. In its own words: "Our pricing is reasonable, affordable, and transparent." No consultation fee is published either, so you will need to ask for both.
It is a cash practice. In its own words: "We are a cash practice and are not contracted with insurance carriers." It accepts HSA and FSA cards, credit and debit cards, cash and personal checks. It will provide a receipt you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement, and insurance may cover lab work, referrals and imaging ordered by its office. A missed appointment without 24 hours notice carries a $100 fee.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which clinician writes hormone and peptide prescriptions, and what their license is. No prescriber is named in what it publishes.
Ask whether the monthly cost of hormone or peptide care includes the medication. It does not say.
Ask whether each medication is brand-name or compounded. It says its peptides come from compounding pharmacies it describes as USP 797 approved. It does not say the same about its hormone medications.
Ask what regular labs, monitoring and follow-up visits cost, since it says synthetic hormone therapy includes them but does not price them. Ask the same for Galleri screening.
If you are considering the GLP-1 or GIP peptides for weight loss, ask which one, what the full program costs per month, and how long you would be committed.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay functional medicine or primary care practice in Boise, or a telehealth visit in Washington, Idaho or Oregon, and you are willing to get a written price list and the prescriber's name before you commit to hormone or peptide care.
