About Idaho Outreach Medicine

What is Idaho Outreach Medicine?

Idaho Outreach Medicine is a house-call primary care practice serving Boise and the Treasure Valley. Its listed street address is 8059 W Preece Dr., but there is no walk-in clinic, so most visits happen at home or by video. Dori Healey, APRN, founded the practice and is described as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 20 years of experience across all levels of care. Christa Whalen, FNP-C, also prescribes. Devon Langer and Patrick Healey are listed on the team with no credentials given.

The services are in-home primary care, medical weight loss, hormone therapy, mobile IV therapy, telemedicine, and visits to residential living facilities. Weight loss uses semaglutide and tirzepatide, which the practice says come from local Idaho compounding pharmacies. It does not list peptide therapy or longevity medicine. Hours are 08:00 to 17:00 Monday through Thursday and 08:00 to 13:00 on Friday.

What does it cost?

Weight loss care has three parts. The first step is a telehealth consultation at $249. Follow-up visits are $199 every 3 months, self-pay only, because the practice says insurance does not cover this supervised care. Medication is paid to the pharmacy on top of those fees. The practice gives $120 to $200 a month for semaglutide and $160 to $300 a month for tirzepatide, and says pricing varies by dose.

The practice says it accepts most major health insurance plans for primary care. In its own words: "Refills cannot be provided without a follow-up visit." It does not publish prices for hormone therapy, lab work, or in-home visits, and it does not list cancellation terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs each prescription and whether the $249 and $199 fees include any medication. The practice says you pay the pharmacy directly, so ask for a full monthly figure in writing. Ask which pharmacy fills the prescription and what compounded means for the medication you would receive. The practice also says that beginning in 2026 all weight-loss medications will go through two local pharmacies, so ask which two and what that changes for current patients.

Ask what the hormone panel and follow-up labs cost, and whether the $249 consultation is billed to insurance. Ask how to cancel, and whether a follow-up visit is required to keep refills.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a clinician to come to your home or see you by video, you can pay cash for weight loss care that insurance does not cover, and you are comfortable with compounded medication filled by a local pharmacy you pay directly. If you need a walk-in visit, one price that includes medication, or a written cancellation policy, get those answers before you book.
