About Boise Natural Health Clinic

What is Boise Natural Health Clinic?

Boise Natural Health Clinic is a naturopathic practice at 4219 W. Emerald in Boise, ID 83706, phone 208.338.0405. NMD stands for Naturopathic Medical Doctor. The physicians it lists as prescribers are Joan Haynes, NMD; Nicole Maxwell, NMD; Michaela Falkner, NMD; Amanda Lorch, NMD; Brooke Waldersen, NMD; and Dr. Amanda Grischow, NMD, CAc. Besides naturopathic medicine, it offers weight loss, B-vitamin injections, ozone therapy, specialty labs, acupuncture, fertility optimization, a Wellness Membership Program and integrative cancer care.

The weight loss program is built around medication. In its own words: "At Boise Natural Health Clinic, we primarily use prescription compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide as the medications of choice for patients seeking weight loss." Semaglutide and tirzepatide are the generic names for brand medications such as Wegovy, Ozempic and Monjaro. First visits are generally weekly for 2 to 3 weeks, then monthly, with portal messages in between. Lab tests may be required.

Walk-in Wednesdays for B-vitamin injections run 11 am to 4 pm, and you do not need to be a patient. The clinic has a 4.8 rating on Google from 53 reviews.

What does it cost?

For the compounded medications, the cost runs $175 to $200 a month at area pharmacies, a figure that varies with dose and frequency. Visit fees are on its Fees page, but it does not publish the amounts. Lab testing is not included in visit prices. Service fees rise 10% beginning January 1, 2027.

It does not say whether it takes insurance. One Google review says it gives a detailed receipt to submit to your insurer but does not help with insurance. The Wellness Membership Program is listed with no price or terms. In its own words: "You can schedule a free brief consult with one of our doctors to see if we can meet your needs."

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which physician you would see, and whether that physician writes and signs your prescription. Ask whether the $175 to $200 covers the medication alone or the visits and pharmacy too, and whether brand-name Wegovy, Ozempic or Monjaro is also offered. Ask what follow-up visits and labs cost each month. Ask whether the clinic bills insurers, whether telehealth is offered, and how to cancel the program or the membership. If you came for hormone therapy, ask which service covers it, since the clinic lists hormonal imbalance among its conditions but describes no hormone therapy service.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a naturopathic physician to run a weight loss program on compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide, and you can cover the monthly fee, visits and labs yourself. If you need insurance billing or hormone therapy, settle those questions before you book.
