What is FaithCare Health?
FaithCare Health is a primary care practice with offices in Honolulu and Waipahu, Hawaii. It also makes house calls and offers video visits. Its four listed services are primary care, house call services, IV infusion therapy and vitamin injections, and a weight loss program. Primary care and house calls are the core of the practice, and weight loss is one of the four services.
The weight loss material names two medications, compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide. Compounded means the drug is made by a compounding pharmacy rather than by the company that makes the brand-name product. The clinic also lists weight loss injections and weight loss kits. It describes its weight loss program as something that can happen at home, with meal planning, coaching and progress check-ins.
The clinic does not name the doctor or nurse practitioner who prescribes these medications, and it does not say how long it has been operating. Its Google listing shows a 5 rating from 16 reviews. Telehealth visits cover follow-ups, medication refills and weight-management check-ins. The phone number is 808-746-2677.
This listing is for its Honolulu office at 1003 Bishop St., Pauahi Tower, Suite 395.
What does it cost?
The clinic does not publish prices for any of its services, including weight loss, and it does not list a consultation fee. The weight loss program appears among its memberships, but there is no membership fee, contract length or cancellation policy listed. It also does not say whether the medication is included in the program price.
On insurance, the clinic offers this in its own words: "We accept most major insurance for primary care. IV infusions, vitamin shots, and weight loss programs may not be covered and could require out-of-pocket payment." Read that as a warning that the weight loss program may come out of your own pocket.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription for compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide, and whether that person will see you in person or by video before the first prescription. Ask whether the membership fee includes the medication, the coaching and the follow-up visits. Ask which pharmacy makes the compounded drug and whether it is the same one for every patient.
Ask what lab work and follow-up visits cost on top of the program, how a membership is cancelled, and whether there is a minimum term. Ask your insurer too, since weight loss programs may not be covered, and get the answer in writing before you pay.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you need primary care or in-home visits and want a weight loss program from the same practice. It is also a reasonable fit if you are willing to get the prescriber, the price and the cancellation terms in writing before you sign up. If you need a named prescriber or a published price before you even call, this clinic will not give you either one on its site, so plan to ask.
