What is Aesthetics Hawaii?
Aesthetics Hawaii is a physician-led aesthetic practice at 725 Kapiolani Blvd, STE C101, Honolulu, HI 96813. The phone number is (808) 633-8585. Most of what it does is cosmetic: Botox, fillers, Sculptra, Kybella, Morpheus8, SkinPen microneedling and hair restoration. Weight loss and peptide therapy are two more services on its list, alongside IV therapy and hyperbaric oxygen. No hormone therapy appears among its services.
Dr. David Yew, MD, is the Medical Director and the one physician listed as prescriber. The clinic describes him as a board-certified, Columbia-trained physician with 17+ years of aesthetic experience, and as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Hawaii John Burns School of Medicine. Its Google listing shows a 4.9 rating from 31 reviews.
The weight loss program uses once-weekly GLP-1 injections, but the program does not name the medication. The peptide program names seven peptides: BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, Sermorelin, Tesamorelin, CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for weight loss or peptide therapy. The one dollar figure is a discount: $50 off the first month of weight loss injections for new clients. Elsewhere the same offer is described as $50 off the first four weeks, so ask which one applies. Follow-up visits are listed as free, with unlimited messaging with the care team. In its own words: "Monthly check-ins are included in the cost of the medication." That line does not say what the medication costs. Insurance, consultation fees, financing and cancellation terms are not stated.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with who writes the prescription. The weight loss program begins with a first meeting with one of the clinic's Physician Assistants, then an in-person consultation with Dr. Yew, so ask who signs the prescription and whether the physician reviews it. Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication, and what the full monthly total will be. Ask which weight loss medication you would receive and whether it is brand-name or compounded.
For the peptides, ask the same questions about each one offered, including BPC-157 and TB-500, and ask where the product is made. Ask what lab work, BMI checks and follow-ups cost beyond the free visit. Finally, ask how a program is cancelled, whether insurance is accepted, and whether any part of the care can be done by telehealth, since the clinic does not say.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an in-person visit in Honolulu, you are comfortable with a practice whose main business is cosmetic injectables, and you want the prescriber, the medication and the total monthly cost confirmed in writing before you pay. If you need hormone therapy, it is not among the listed services, so it is not a fit for that need.
