What is Nuvo Wellness & Health?
Nuvo Wellness & Health is a cash-pay medical weight loss practice at 1 SE Ocean Blvd in Stuart, Florida. Amanda Walrath, APRN, FNP-BC, is the founder and the only prescriber the clinic names. She is a Florida-licensed, board-certified family nurse practitioner with 17 years of clinical experience. The practice mainly offers weight loss care with compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide, both GLP-1 medications. It also offers BioBoost Plus, a home vitamin injection kit that is offered after a medical evaluation.
Care happens by video from home. Amanda serves patients in Stuart, Jensen Beach, Palm City, Hobe Sound and Port St. Lucie, plus adults anywhere else in Florida. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM to 2 PM. The practice has a 5.0 rating on Google from 12 reviews.
What does it cost?
Nuvo is cash-pay with no monthly membership, and the first consultation is complimentary. For the GLP-1 medications, the price is per vial and includes the medication, supplies, shipping and ongoing follow-up. Compounded semaglutide is $400 per vial and compounded tirzepatide is $500 per vial. The average monthly cost is $144 for semaglutide and $180 for tirzepatide. Those monthly figures are based on how long a vial typically lasts. They are not a subscription.
BioBoost Plus is $175 per vial, about $76 per month, and includes syringes, alcohol pads and dosing instructions, shipped to your home. In its own words: "There are no contracts, memberships, or hidden fees." It does not say whether it bills insurance, or whether per-vial prices change at renewal.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask Amanda whether she reviews your history and signs any prescription herself. Ask which compounding pharmacy fills your vial. The practice works with 503A and 503B sterile compounding pharmacies, and the pharmacy information appears on the labels, so get the name before you start. Ask whether lab work is included, because the pricing covers follow-up but does not mention labs. Ask whether a renewal vial costs the same, and how long a vial lasts on your dosing plan. Ask what happens if you want to stop after one vial. Ask how long shipping takes. Plan on 5 to 7 days after your prescription for the pharmacy to prepare and ship. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, so ask what that means for the vial you would receive.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in Florida, are comfortable with a video consultation, and want the per-vial price spelled out before you book. It is a poor match if you need insurance to cover the cost or want in-person visits.
