About Ready Med

What is Ready Med?

Ready Med is a cash-pay telehealth practice with offices in Clearwater, Seminole, Palm Harbor, Saint Petersburg and Odessa, all in Florida. Its main work is medical weight management with semaglutide and tirzepatide. It also offers testosterone, human growth hormone therapy, B-12, microneedling and several peptides, including sermorelin, BPC-157, GHK-CU and melanotan.

Visits happen by video on Doxy, a HIPAA compliant telehealth system, after an online medical form. Medication is mailed from a pharmacy. The prescribers named are King ARNP, Dr. Steven Peacock and Dr. Derek Richardson. No credentials beyond ARNP are given, and no state licensing is stated for the two doctors. The weight loss medications are compounded. In its own words: "Ready Med exclusively works with licensed sterile compounding pharmacies in the United States."

Google shows a 4.7 rating from 69 reviews. Hours are not listed for the Clearwater office, and no years in practice are stated.

This listing is for its Saint Petersburg office at 5156 Central Avenue.

What does it cost?

The semaglutide program is $99 for the first month and $199 every month after that, and the monthly fee includes the medication. The first month is offered as a trial, with no card on file and no recurring payments at the start.

Higher doses add $100 a month, and so do monthly shipments in place of the 60 or 90 day schedule. Membership is month to month, with no long-term contract or cancellation fee and a 30-day refund guarantee.

Its prices do not agree from one section to another. Oral semaglutide is $249 a month in one place and $297 in another. Tirzepatide is $297 in one place and $449 in another. It does not say whether the monthly fee covers the medication for tirzepatide or testosterone, and it publishes no testosterone price. It does not publish prices for lab work or follow-up visits.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes your prescription and for each prescriber's license number and state. The team listings also include an LPN and other staff, and none of them are named as prescribers.

Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication for every drug you want, and what labs, follow-up visits and dose changes cost. Ready Med says hormone therapy requires recent lab results and that it can help arrange them, but no lab price is listed.

Ask whether your drug is compounded or brand name. Ready Med says compounded drugs may differ from brand-name ones, so ask how your dose is chosen and changed over time.

Ask how shipments work and whether a local pharmacy is an option. Ready Med says a local pharmacy may charge a fee it cannot help with. Ask which states it serves, and confirm in writing that the $99 first month rolls into the $199 membership and how to cancel.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are paying cash, you are comfortable with a video visit and a compounded medication, and you want month to month terms with the price for your specific drug in writing before you sign. If you need one fixed price across every drug, or a named physician with stated credentials, ask those questions first.
