About Optimum Wellness + Health
What is Optimum Wellness + Health?
Optimum Wellness + Health is a cash-pay clinic run by Teylar Arroyo, NP, a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years in healthcare. By her own account, she has focused for the past five years on metabolic health and hormone wellness. The office is at 1860 SW Fountainview Blvd, Suite 100, in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and patients are seen by appointment only. Virtual visits are offered to people in Florida. The clinic has a Google rating of 5 from 34 reviews.
Teylar Arroyo, NP is the only prescriber the clinic names. She works under a collaborative protocol with a Florida-licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, whose name is not published. The clinic offers weight loss, hormone replacement, peptide care sold under a separate brand name (it does not say which peptides), and healthy aging care for patients before and at geriatric age. It also offers health coaching, Metabolic Reset and MidLife Reset programs, and wellness memberships. On injections, it says: "Yes, if patients medically qualify we can prescribe GLP1 Injections." The medications it names are tirzepatide and semaglutide.
What does it cost?
The weight loss program is listed at $199 to $299 a month. Hormone replacement is listed from $99 a month for women and from $179 a month for men. The clinic's FAQ says patients can usually expect to spend $99 to $449 a month, depending on program and medications selected. It does not say whether the monthly price includes medication, and it does not state medication costs. It does say: "However our program can be purchased and followed without the use of medications."
Programs require a 2 or 3 month commitment to enter. The clinic does not give cancellation terms. It does not publish a consultation fee. It describes a free 15 minute discovery call and an intake consult with lab orders, but gives no price for the intake. The clinic does not accept insurance itself. Patients can get medical orders from Teylar Arroyo, NP and use their insurance for imaging, labs and medications. It does not mention HSA or financing options.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which doctor is the collaborating DO and what that doctor does in your care. Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication, and if it does not, what the medication costs and which pharmacy fills it. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, since the clinic does not say. Ask what the intake, follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether your insurance can cover the labs with a medical order. Ask what happens if you want to stop before the 2 or 3 month commitment ends, and how cancellation works. Ask when appointments are available, since no hours are listed.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in Florida, want a nurse practitioner who runs your care through a monthly program, and can commit to 2 or 3 months before deciding. It is a weaker fit if you need the monthly price to include the medication, or if you are looking for a primary care doctor, since it is not a substitute for one for preventive screenings or specialist care.
