Comprehensive Health Center
Verified listingAbout Comprehensive Health Center
What is this clinic?
It is a primary care practice with offices in Miami and Orlando, Florida. Its core work is family medicine, including primary care, geriatric care and pediatrics. It also offers immigration physicals, PrEP, test and treat, addiction care, pharmacy, lab and imaging, access assistance, medical weight loss and aesthetics. Weight loss is one service among these, not the whole practice.
The medical weight loss program is described only for the Miami office. The clinic calls its approach physician-led and says its GLP-1 program uses a class of medications, but it does not name a specific drug. It says a qualified weight loss physician manages that program and decides whether the treatment fits each patient. It does not say which of its providers that is. The team is fluent in English, Spanish and Haitian Kreyol. The clinic does not say how long it has been open, and it does not say whether telehealth visits are offered.
This listing is for its Orlando office at 1011 W. Oakridge Road.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for medical weight loss or any other service, and it does not list a consultation fee. It says it accepts most major insurance plans and names several, including Aetna, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare and Tricare. It does not say whether GLP-1 medication is part of any program cost, and it does not mention financing, HSA use or membership terms. If you plan to pay cash, ask for the full cost in writing before your first visit.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which physician will manage your weight loss program and sign any prescription, and whether that same person follows you from the first visit onward. Ask whether a monthly fee includes the medication or whether the drug is billed separately, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask whether prescriptions are filled at the in-house pharmacy, and what the first visit, lab work and follow-up visits cost. Ask whether your insurance covers the program or only the medication, and what the cash price is if it does not.
Ask whether follow-up can be done by video, since the clinic does not say. If you are considering the Orlando office, ask whether it runs the weight loss program, since that program is described only for Miami. The clinic also mentions mobile outreach programs and an after-hours patient care line for emergencies, so ask what each one covers and whether either adds to your costs. Ask how you cancel and whether you pay for months you do not use.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want primary care and a weight loss program under one roof, you can get to the Miami or Orlando office, and you are willing to call first and get the full cost in writing. It may not suit you if you need a posted price before you book, or if you need the weight loss program in Orlando and cannot confirm it is offered there.
