About Complete Medical Direct Care

What is Complete Medical Direct Care?

Complete Medical Direct Care is a primary care practice in Ocala, Florida, run on a direct primary care and concierge-style membership model. It is led by Dr. Grodonoff Nelson, D.O., DO, a board-certified family practice physician with more than 16 years of clinical experience. The office is at 150 SE 17th St Suite 504, Ocala, FL 34471, and phone is (352) 789-7308. It also offers virtual visits to eligible patients throughout Florida, and it welcomes patients ages 12 and older.

Most of what it does is family medicine: preventive care, chronic disease management, annual wellness evaluations, laboratory review, medication management and non-emergency care. Weight management is one of its services. It writes prescriptions for GLP-1 injectable medications when medically needed, and it offers hormone replacement as part of its Concierge CEO membership. It does not list peptide or longevity medicine. Its Google listing shows a five-star rating from 19 reviews.

What does it cost?

Memberships are billed monthly. Gold Member is $89 a month for seniors 65 and older and young adults ages 12 to 20. Silver Virtual is $119 a month for unlimited virtual appointments, with in-office visits when needed. "Premium Prime" is $138 a month for full in-office and virtual access. The same $138 plan is called "Premium Plus+" in its weight loss program. Pay-as-you-go visits are $189 each. The Ultimate-Prime Weight Loss Program is $549 a month and includes GLP-1 injectable medications, supplements, one-to-one access and a starter pack. Concierge CEO is $12,000 a year plus a $999 registration fee, or $10,000 a year with no registration fee at a limited time rate.

It is cash pay only. In its own words: "We do not bill insurance companies." It does not publish a consultation fee, and it does not say whether GLP-1 medication is included in the $138 price.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $138 monthly fee covers the GLP-1 medication, and what the medication costs if it does not. Ask which plan a new weight loss patient would need, since the weight loss program describes both the $138 plan and the $549 Ultimate-Prime program. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask what the first visit costs, and what labs and follow-up cost, since it says labs are discounted but gives no amounts. It does not list office hours, so ask when the office is open. Ask how much notice cancelling requires, because it says only that membership can be adjusted or cancelled "with appropriate notice."

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you already plan to pay cash for primary care and want a family doctor who works through a monthly membership. It also makes sense if you are considering a GLP-1 weight management program and want the full monthly cost in writing before you call. It is a weaker fit if you are looking for peptide or longevity medicine, since it does not list either.
