What is The Med Spa of New Smyrna Beach?
The Med Spa of New Smyrna Beach is a med spa with two offices, a Mainside location and a Beachside location, both in New Smyrna Beach. It was established in 2013, and its core work is non-invasive, anti-aging and body contouring and tightening treatments. Weight loss is one of its service lines, sold as Get Fit NSB. The clinic names Dr. Abigail Adams as its prescriber, and no credential is published for her.
The weight loss programs use semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide, a once-weekly injectable peptide. Other listed services include Fit 3D body scans, vitamin injections, infrared sauna therapy and Botox. Hormone therapy is not on the list. In its own words: "Serving the Port Orange area, our programs include semaglutide or tirzepatide injections, weekly B-12 with MIC shots, Fit 3D body scans, and access to our full wellness team." The program material is written for Port Orange, but both offices are in New Smyrna Beach.
What does it cost?
The 8-week Get Fit in 8 Weeks program starts at $1499, and the Jumpstart program starts at $799. Both include two months of semaglutide, with the amount depending on dosing. Refills of semaglutide or tirzepatide start at $399, and they are offered only after finishing one of those programs. Single weight loss injections start at $75 a week, and the price does not state whether the medication is included. Only starting prices are published for the programs.
Wellness services cost $45 for one session, $195 for a package of five, $350 for a package of ten, or $375 for the monthly membership. The membership includes unlimited use of wellness services, 10% off supplements and member pricing on vitamin injections. Cancellation terms are not given.
No consultation fee is published. It does not state whether it accepts insurance or whether visits can be done by telehealth.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes and signs the prescription, and what training Dr. Adams has, since no credential is published for her. Ask whether the $75 weekly price includes the medication, and whether the two months of semaglutide covers the full program. Ask whether semaglutide, tirzepatide and retatrutide are brand-name or compounded, and where they are made.
Ask what a consultation costs, what lab work and follow-up visits cost, and whether any dosing increases, which may be needed, are extra. Ask whether visits can happen by telehealth, whether insurance or an HSA can be used, and how cancellation works for the membership or for a program you leave early. Ask which office your visits would be at.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want weight loss medication alongside coaching, body scans and a physician consult, you plan to pay cash, and you will get the answers above in writing before you pay. If you need insurance billing or hormone therapy, this clinic does not list either.
