What is Everself?
Everself is a medical weight loss practice with offices in Boston, Charleston, Charlotte, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, Tampa, Temecula Valley and Washington, DC. Bariendo Inc. operates it as Everself, and it was founded in 2023. Its main work is endoscopic weight loss procedures, with a medication program alongside them.
The six services are ESG Stomach Tightening, Everself ESG Max, Gastric Balloon, Revision of Gastric Bypass, Revision of Gastric Sleeve and Weight Loss Medication. ESG Stomach Tightening is performed through the mouth with an endoscope, and the procedure itself takes approximately 60 minutes as an outpatient procedure. Dr. Christopher C. Thompson, a Harvard professor, invented ESG Stomach Tightening and co-founded the company with Dr. Pichamol Jirapinyo.
The medication program covers semaglutide and tirzepatide, and the clinic names Wegovy, Saxenda, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Zepbound. In its own words: "A concierge GLP-1 program with live support from nurse practitioners and registered dietitians." Google shows a 4.5 rating from 56 reviews.
What does it cost?
Pricing starts at $895, and the medication is not included. The list of what comes with that price covers prescription management, 12 months of support from its care team, a smart scale and app access, 24/7 clinical on-call support, patient support groups and a $250 discount toward a weight loss procedure. The consultation is free. It accepts HSA and FSA payments and lists financing options. It does not publish the cost of the medication, what each procedure costs on its own, or its cancellation terms. Ask whether it bills insurance.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with the phone line, (833) 837-7353. Ask who writes and signs the prescription for the medication program, since it does not name who prescribes in each town. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and what it costs each month. Ask whether the $895 starting price covers the procedure you choose, and whether the $250 discount applies to it.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost after the first year. Ask which office you would visit and its street address, because it does not publish office addresses or hours. Ask whether any part of the medication program is done by video, since it does not state whether telehealth is offered. Finally, ask how you cancel and what, if anything, is refunded.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are considering an endoscopic procedure or a GLP-1 medication program with a care team behind it, and you want to call a multi-city practice that publishes a starting price and a free consultation. If you only want medication, ask for its full monthly cost before you book.
