About PassQual Health
What is PassQual Health?
PassQual Health is a family medicine practice at 18706 NW 67th Ave in Miami Gardens, Florida. It's a full primary care office with an in-house pharmacy, laboratory, X-rays and ultrasound, plus women's health, mental health, allergy testing, DOT physicals and immigration exams. Care is offered in English and Spanish, and it's open Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Telemedicine visits are available.
Medical weight loss is one of its services. The program is physician-supervised, and the physicians who oversee it include Dr. Arlenis Barroso Perez, MD. It uses two GLP-1 medications, semaglutide and tirzepatide, along with supportive vitamins, nutrition counseling and regular follow-up visits. It's open about one detail many clinics skip: tirzepatide in its program is given as Mounjaro, which is FDA approved for type 2 diabetes, so using it for weight loss is off-label. The physician goes over that with you before you start.
What does it cost?
The semaglutide program is $300 a month. In its own words, that price "includes both your weight loss consultation and your semaglutide medication." Tirzepatide and other options are priced at the consultation. Consultation questions are free, and if baseline labs are needed it tells you the cost up front. The practice takes most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, but coverage for weight loss medication depends on your plan, and the team will review your benefits and self-pay options with you. It also offers a PassQual Membership from $79/month, which is a general practice membership.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the semaglutide is a brand name product or compounded. Ask what tirzepatide would cost per month. Ask whether the baseline labs are billed to insurance or paid out of pocket, and the price either way. Ask whether the $300 changes as your dose changes. Ask how often follow-up visits happen and whether some can be done by telemedicine. If you're thinking about the membership, ask whether it changes the price of the weight loss program.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want GLP-1 treatment from a family doctor's office in Miami Gardens with a posted monthly price, Spanish-speaking staff and Saturday hours. It also makes sense if you'd like your weight care tied to your regular primary care and insurance.
