About LGLN Weight Loss & Wellness Center

What is LGLN Weight Loss & Wellness Center?

LGLN is a cash-pay practice at 4401 Emerson St. Ste#8 in Jacksonville, Florida, run under the name YourFamily TeleClinic LLC. Its main work is primary care and medical weight loss, with hormone replacement therapy and IV drips alongside. Glendys Guerra Mendez, a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 9 years of medical experience, founded the practice and is the only prescriber named on it.

The weight loss program is medically supervised, but the clinic does not name the medication it uses. Telehealth visits are available across Florida, and walk-ins are welcome at the office. The Relief Drip lists ketorolac, ondansetron and dexamethasone. Its listed services do not include peptide or longevity care. The clinic has a Google rating of 5 from 24 reviews. Phone: (904) 344-0517.

What does it cost?

Primary care membership is $80 a month with no enrollment fee, or $150 a month for a couple. Members get discounts on labs and imaging and 10% off services. Non-member visits cost $90 for a 40-minute primary care visit and $55 for a sick visit.

The Medical Weight Loss Program is $100 a month, with enrollment for at least 3 months. That covers an initial 1-hour visit, lab orders, nutritional guidance and unlimited secure messaging. The price does not say whether weight loss medication is included. Hormone replacement therapy starts with a $299 initial consultation, then $149 a month for visits, medication and supplies, with membership required. The price does not say whether labs are covered. IV drips run from $140 to $160.

In its own words: "No, we do not take insurance." You can still use insurance for labs, imaging and prescribed medications, except for the weight loss medications offered through the program.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes each prescription, and whether Glendys Guerra Mendez handles your weight loss and hormone visits herself. Ask whether the $100 monthly fee includes any medication, which medication the program uses, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. The clinic does not say.

Ask what labs and follow-up visits cost beyond the monthly fee. Ask how many visits a membership includes, since the clinic describes its monthly visit allowance in conflicting terms. Ask how to cancel after the 3-month minimum, and whether the IV services require a membership.

Call to confirm hours before you visit. The posted hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday, 9 am to 2 pm, with Monday and Friday closed. Some of the listed hours do not agree with each other.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay practice with a named nurse practitioner, you can commit to at least 3 months of the weight loss program, and you want the medication and visit terms in writing before you pay. If you need a practice that bills your insurance for visits, this one does not.
