About Boost and Balance

What is Boost and Balance?

Boost and Balance is a wellness center at 1008 Atlantic Avenue in Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. You can call or text 904-601-5513. Mike and Jamie Yarbrough are the two people named as its prescribers. Mike is a family nurse practitioner who is dual board-certified. Jamie is a multi-state licensed RN.

The medical side of the center covers medically supervised weight loss, hormone replacement therapy for men and women, peptide therapy, and anti-aging and longevity care. The center also offers Botox, IV infusions, stem cell exosome therapy, skincare, an infrared sauna, a red light room and a massage chair. Its peptide menu lists tirzepatide plus, MicroSema, tesofensine, BPC-157, TB-500 and IGF-1 LR3 among its options.

Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm. Some services are walk-ins. In its own words: "Some services are available for walk-ins, while others require a consultation." The business has a 5 rating on Google from 51 reviews. It serves Fernandina Beach, Yulee, Callahan, North Jacksonville and surrounding areas.

What does it cost?

Weight loss starts at $425 for 8 weeks, and that price includes the medication and all supplies. The program requires an office or telemedicine consultation before treatment starts, and it says no contracts are required. It does not publish a consultation fee.

Hormone therapy starts at $125 a month for women and $155 a month for men. These are starting prices only. Men's therapy requires lab work. Botox is $12 per unit, a vitamin B12 injection is $25, and a Myers' Cocktail IV is $200. It does not publish peptide prices.

The clinic lists CareCredit, Allē Financing and Cherry Financing as ways to pay over time. It does not say whether insurance is accepted.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription: Mike, Jamie, or both. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, since the weight loss program describes compounded medications. Ask which of the named peptides are FDA-approved, and whether the $425 for 8 weeks is the full cost of that period.

Ask what the consultation costs and whether the hormone therapy medication is included in the $125 or $155 starting price. Ask what lab work and follow-up visits cost, and which states telehealth visits are offered in. The center brings wellness directly to you, so ask where mobile visits take place compared with the office. Ask whether it accepts HSA or FSA cards, and how you would cancel if you stop.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay clinic with named prescribers, you live in or near the towns it serves or can use telehealth, and you want written answers on the medication and total cost before you pay. If you need insurance billing or a full price list before your first visit, ask those questions first.
