About Skinology Wellness & Aesthetics

What is Skinology Wellness & Aesthetics?

Skinology Wellness & Aesthetics is a medical spa at 2970 Gulf To Bay Blvd, Suite C, Clearwater, FL 33759. Most of its services are aesthetic: Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Juvederm, Restylane, HydraFacial and laser hair removal. It also offers Hormone Replacement Therapy, Testosterone Replacement Therapy, IV Vitamin Therapy and a medically supervised weight loss program. The phone number is 727-371-4570. The practice is a short, 20-minute drive from Dunedin, South Tampa and Palm Harbor, and 30 minutes from St. Petersburg and Greater Northdale.

The weight loss program uses Tirzepatide, the only medication it names. Elaine Williams, ARNP, NP, NP-C is the one prescriber named. In its own words: "medicinal therapies like Tirzepatide, a compounded version of the FDA-approved medication Mounjaro." The practice also lists a New York office, but gives no address or services for it. Google reviews rate it 5 stars from 102 reviews.

What does it cost?

The weight loss program starts with a consultation and essential blood work, priced at $149, as the first step of a 12-week program. After that, a package with weekly Tirzepatide and vitamin therapy costs $99 per week, and the medication is included in that price. It does not say whether the $149 step includes any medication.

Botox is $11 per unit, and Dysport and Xeomin are $10 per unit, under its new client specials. It does not publish prices for hormone therapy. It does not state an insurance policy, hours or telehealth options. It lists financing and memberships but gives no terms for either.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes the prescription and who reviews your blood work, and whether Elaine Williams handles both. Ask which compounding pharmacy makes the Tirzepatide and how it compares with the brand-name Mounjaro. Ask what repeat blood work and follow-up visits cost after the first step, and whether the $99 weekly price covers them. Ask what happens at the end of the 12 weeks and whether you need a new package to continue.

Ask how a weekly package is canceled and whether any unused weeks are refunded. For hormone therapy, ask what bio-identical means for the hormones used, what they cost, and what the visits and labs cost. Ask whether insurance or HSA funds can be used, whether any visit can be done by video, and what the New York office offers.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay weight loss program with a named nurse practitioner prescriber, and you are ready to ask about compounding, lab costs and cancellation before you pay. It is a less clear fit if you need insurance billing or video visits, or if you want published prices for hormone therapy before you book.
