About Meadow Primary Care

What is Meadow Primary Care?

Meadow Primary Care is a direct primary care practice. Members pay a flat monthly fee and do not pay copays. The office is at 9030 58th Dr E, Suite 102, Bradenton, FL 34202, and it serves patients from Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, Ellenton, Palmetto, Sarasota, Venice and North Port as well. Meriem Richardson, APRN, FNP-BC, MSN founded the practice and is its prescriber.

Its services are annual physicals, sports and school physicals, chronic disease care, medical weight loss, same-day appointments and telehealth. Weight loss is one service among these, not the whole practice. For that program it names semaglutide, tirzepatide, Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound, and it says it prescribes brand name, FDA-approved medications. It does not name hormone therapy, peptide therapy or longevity medicine. Google shows a 5.0 rating from 20 reviews.

In its own words: "Old School Medicine. Modern Touch."

What does it cost?

Membership is $119 a month for adults age 26 and up, $59 a month for ages 2 to 25, and $289 a month for a family of four. The adult fee covers 30 to 60 minute visits, same-day appointments, text access to your provider and provider supervised weight management. Medication is not included. Members pay $0 copays, there are no contracts, and you can cancel anytime. Labs are billed separately at discounted cash rates, and the practice does not publish those amounts. It does not publish a consultation fee either. The meet and greet is free, and no first visit fee is stated.

Medicare is accepted and billed directly under standard Medicare rules, including copays after the deductible. Medicare patients are outside the membership. The practice also says it works with PPO plans out of network. Membership itself is not insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask for the monthly medication cost before your first visit, in writing. The membership does not include the drug, and the practice says it will discuss monthly costs during the evaluation. Ask which medication would be prescribed, and confirm it is brand name and not compounded. Ask for an estimate of the lab bill, and what follow-up labs cost over time. Ask whether the in person evaluation carries a charge on top of the membership.

If you have a PPO plan, ask whether it is in network, since the practice has not said so. Ask how cancellation works and whether any notice or fee applies. If you need hormone or peptide therapy, ask whether it is offered, because neither is named.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want one provider for primary care and GLP-1 weight loss, you can pay for medication and labs separately, and you can attend an in person first visit in Bradenton. The practice says the evaluation makes the final call on whether a GLP-1 is right for you, so book expecting an evaluation, not a guaranteed prescription.
