About Golden Hour Aesthetics & Wellness
What is Golden Hour Aesthetics & Wellness?
Golden Hour Aesthetics & Wellness is a practice at 9 Brookside Rd., Unit A, Redding, CT 06896. Google lists it as a medical spa, and its aesthetics services sit alongside medical weight loss and men's health care. Amanda Guarniere, APRN, MSN, NP-C, is the only prescriber the practice names. She has over 13 years of experience as an APRN, with a background in emergency medicine, women's health, and primary care.
The five services are GLP-1 weight loss, facial aesthetics, men's health (testosterone therapy), chemical peels, and microneedling. The weight loss program names tirzepatide (Mounjaro®, Zepbound®) and semaglutide (Ozempic®, Wegovy®). Visits are by appointment only, Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and the office is closed Sunday. Telehealth is offered to clients across Connecticut and New York. Google shows a 5 rating from 11 reviews.
What does it cost?
The GLP-1 package includes a free initial consult, a GLP-1 medication and injection supplies, and unlimited consults with Amanda. The practice does not publish a monthly price for it.
The men's health path starts with a free 15-minute phone consult. A visit to review lab results costs $197, and the personalized treatment plan is $200 a month. It does not say whether medication is included in that $200, and it does not list lab test costs.
Chemical peels are $200 for the Illuminize Peel and $325 for the Perfect Derma Peel. SkinPen microneedling is $350 for one session or $900 for three. The exosomes add-on is $550 for one session or $1,400 for three. Botox is priced by unit, and no unit price is published. Its Botox article gives a Connecticut average of $300 to $800 per treatment, which is a statewide figure, not this practice's price.
The practice does not accept insurance. In its own words: "Golden Hour does not accept insurance, but we gladly accept HSA or FSA cards for payment." It provides itemized receipts for reimbursement. It does not mention financing.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the GLP-1 fee covers the medication every month, and what your total monthly cost will be. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, since the practice mentions working with pharmacies to lower costs. For testosterone, ask whether the $200 monthly plan includes the medication and what the lab tests will cost.
Ask how many follow-up consults are included for men's health, since unlimited consults are stated only for the weight loss package. Ask about cancellation: how much notice is required, whether there is a commitment period, and whether any fees are refundable. If you would be seen by telehealth from New York, ask whether Amanda is licensed there. Call (203) 493-6691 and get the answers in writing before you pay.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a nurse practitioner as your prescriber, can pay out of pocket or with an HSA or FSA card, and either live near Redding or can visit by telehealth from Connecticut or New York. It is a weaker fit if you need a published price before you call or want a clinic that bills insurance.
