About Liquid Aesthetics™

What is Liquid Aesthetics™?

Liquid Aesthetics™ is a medical spa at 2377 Main Street, Second Floor, Glastonbury, CT 06033. The phone number is (860) 430-2636. Kristin Flynn, APRN and Wojciech Junger, APRN own and run the practice, which opened in 2018. Lauren Sanchez, APRN is the third prescriber.

Most of what the clinic does is cosmetic: wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, facial treatments and chemical peels. Weight loss is one service on that list. The clinic offers injectable weight loss options, magnetic muscle stimulation and body composition analysis tools. It describes weight loss medications that act on GLP-1 and GIP receptors, but it does not name the medication it uses. It does not list hormone therapy or peptide therapy. Its Google listing, under the category weight loss service, shows a rating of 5 from 217 reviews.

What does it cost?

The clinic does not publish weight loss prices. It says: "We offer competitive pricing for our weight loss injection therapy." It adds that you can pay per injection or get a discount on a package of injections, but it gives no figures for either. The one number it publishes is the $50 consultation fee. The consultation includes a physical exam, measurements, an Inbody body composition analysis and a review of past weight loss treatments, and it ends with a customized treatment plan.

The clinic does not accept medical insurance, so all care is cash pay. It lists Cherry Financing among its offerings, but it does not say whether financing covers weight loss. Nothing says whether the medication is included in any price.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which of the three APRNs will write your prescriptions and how often you will see them. Ask whether the per injection price or the package price includes the medication, and whether the drug is a brand name product or a compounded one. Ask what a full package costs, whether it can be paused or cancelled, and whether unused injections are refunded.

The clinic requires specific lab work within 3 months of starting treatment. Ask what those tests cost, whether recent labs from your primary care provider will be accepted, and what follow up visits cost. Also ask whether any part of the program can be done by telehealth, since the clinic does not say, and what its hours are, since none are listed.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want injectable weight loss from a practice run by APRNs in Glastonbury, you are paying cash, and you are willing to get the price, the medication name and the cost of labs and follow up in writing before you commit. It is not the right match if you are looking for hormone therapy or peptide therapy, which the clinic does not list.
