About WeightWorx
What is Pause CT?
Pause CT is a clinic at 3 Barnard Lane, Suite 108, in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Its main work is hormone replacement therapy for women in menopause and perimenopause. It lists four services: Hormone Replacement Therapy, Menopause Management, Wellness Consultation and Weight Management.
The hormone pages cover estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, and describe bioidentical therapy as something that can be custom-compounded. The weight management page discusses tirzepatide and semaglutide but does not say whether the clinic runs a weight program with them. No prescriber is named. The footer says Pause CT is a DBA of Optimal Male TRT PLLC. The clinic also says it is a member of the Menopause Society, which is not the same as being the prescriber. Its Google listing shows a rating of 5 from one review.
What does it cost?
The consultation fee is $250. The monthly price is $100, and the clinic does not say whether that includes medication. It says a prescription can be sent to a pharmacy of your choice, which may be covered by insurance. It does not say whether the clinic bills insurance itself, and it does not mention HSA or financing. In its own words: "It doesn't have to be expensive, and our easy monthly plan can allow you access to health care on a long term basis." It gives no contract length or cancellation terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription and what Connecticut license they hold. Ask whether the $100 fee includes medication, and if not, what it costs each month and which pharmacy fills it. Ask whether the hormone is brand-name or custom-compounded, since bioidentical therapy can be compounded, and what monitoring is involved. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether they are billed on top of the monthly fee. For weight management, ask whether tirzepatide or semaglutide would be prescribed under a stated program and what that costs. Ask whether telehealth is available, how to cancel the plan and how much notice is required. The footer names Optimal Male TRT PLLC, so ask which business you would pay. The posted Monday to Thursday hours read 8pm to 9pm, which may be a typo, so call (860) 322-8008 to confirm.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are a woman in menopause or perimenopause, want a clinic focused on that stage, and are ready to get the prescriber's name, the medication cost and the cancellation terms in writing before paying. It is a weaker fit if you want a weight loss program with a stated protocol, or if you need a named prescriber and published prices for every service before booking.
