What is AesthetiKa Wellness and Med Spa?
AesthetiKa Wellness and Med Spa is a wellness clinic and med spa at 601 Main Street in downtown Windsor, Colorado. Its main work is medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy and aesthetic treatments. Two licensed Physician Assistants lead the medical side: Karolyn Martinkus, PA-C, and Kim Racine, who has more than 25 years of experience as a Physician Assistant. It is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday until 6:00 PM, and every other Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It has a Google rating of 5 from 8 reviews.
The weight loss program is provider-supervised and includes GLP-1 medications and peptide therapy for weight loss. In its own words: "On-site lab draws and a detailed medical review included in your first visit." Monthly one-on-one visits with a certified medical provider follow, with access to its on-staff Clinical Nutritionist and Health Coach. Hormone therapy covers testosterone for men and women, perimenopause support and thyroid care, given as pellets, patches, injections or creams. It is a certified provider of Evexipel pellets. Other services include Botox, Xeomin, Juvederm and Radiesse fillers, microneedling for hair restoration, the Wellness Bank and lab tests. It offers virtual telehealth visits and serves patients from Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, Johnstown and Timnath as well as Windsor.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices, and it does not state a consultation fee. It does not accept insurance and describes itself as a fee for service practice. It does accept HSA and FSA payment for medical weight loss consultations and lab testing. Its Wellness Bank is a budgeting option that can be redeemed for services, products and retail items. It does not say whether medication is included in the weight loss program, and it does not show its cancellation terms in text. Call (970) 632-4956 and get the full cost of a program before you book.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which of the two Physician Assistants will sign your prescriptions and handle dose changes. Ask whether the monthly weight loss fee includes the GLP-1 or peptide medication itself, and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask what follow-up visits and repeat lab work cost, since the first visit is the only one described with labs included. Ask whether the initial consultation is charged, which visits can be done by telehealth, and how cancellation works, including notice required and whether there is a fee.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are ready to pay cash for care your insurance will not cover, you live in or near Northern Colorado, and you want the same two Physician Assistants to handle weight loss, hormone therapy or aesthetic work in one clinic. If you need a price before you commit, or you were hoping insurance would pay, get the answers to the questions above before you book. It is worth a call once you have those answers.
