About Steel City HRT & Weight Loss

What is Steel City HRT & Weight Loss?

Steel City HRT & Weight Loss is mainly a telehealth practice. It is based at 1834 Vinewood Ln, Suite 214, Pueblo, CO 81005, and the phone number is (719) 669-4223. The clinic describes itself as clinician-owned and says it is LegitScript-certified. Jeremiah Velasquez, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC founded the practice and is the only person named as a prescriber.

It offers testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), hormone replacement therapy (HRT), metabolic weight loss, peptide optimization, LDN, tadalafil, isotretinoin, labs, and supplements. Medications named include injectable testosterone, estradiol, and progesterone. Weight-loss prescriptions are filled by licensed 503A compounding pharmacies or matched to a brand-name product. The clinic also describes a structured intake it calls Protein Anchoring, intended to protect lean mass during weight loss. Telehealth is offered to patients physically located in Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Washington, or Wyoming at the time of the visit. Hours are by appointment only. Google shows a 5 rating from 255 reviews.

What does it cost?

The initial telehealth consultation is $149 for new patients, and includes intake and lab review. The weight-loss program bills a $49 medical service fee every four weeks for clinical oversight. The Standard Protocol is listed from $109 and the Advanced Protocol from $146. The page does not say what period those "from" figures cover. Both protocols are listed as HSA or FSA eligible. The clinic does not bill insurance. In its own words: "No insurance billing, no surprise charges." It does not say whether medication is included in the program price. It does not publish prices for TRT, HRT, peptides, or LDN. It does not state any cancellation or commitment terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who will prescribe and manage your care, and whether Jeremiah Velasquez will be your clinician at every visit. Ask whether the $49 fee includes your medication, and what the medication costs each month. For weight loss, ask whether the drug is compounded or brand-name. The clinic's own FAQ says compounded versions are not FDA-approved and are not identical to brand-name products, so ask which one you would receive and why.

Ask what lab work costs and whether it is billed separately from the program. Ask how to cancel, whether any commitment applies, and whether the monthly fee stops when you stop medication. Ask whether you can visit the Pueblo office in person, since the clinic does not say. For peptides, ask which ones are prescribed and where they come from. The founder also owns Velasco Supplements, a separate company, so ask whether any supplements recommended to you come from it and what they cost.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live in one of the nine listed states, want a telehealth clinic for hormone or weight-loss care, and can pay cash for a consultation, a monthly fee, and medication. Get the full monthly cost in writing before you book.
