About AOB Med Spa

What is AOB Med Spa?

AOB Med Spa is a medical spa at 8400 E Prentice Ave # 1400, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. The phone number is 303-777-5030. Most of what it does is aesthetic: CoolSculpting Elite, Kybella, Botox, Dysport, JUVÉDERM, lip fillers, laser treatments and skin care. Medically supervised weight loss is one of its services, listed alongside them. It lists 40+ services and says it has been in business for 15+ years.

The people it names as prescribers are Kathi Kotelko, RN, who is also the clinic director and owner, Gregory Buford, MD, FACS, a board-certified plastic surgeon, and Jesica, FNP. Its weight loss page does not say which of them runs the program. In its own words: "Before any medication is prescribed, our providers review your health history and confirm you are an appropriate candidate."

Its main weight loss page says the program may include injectable medications managed by its medical team. Its area pages name GLP #1, GLP #2, and an HCG diet that uses HCG injections. It says it serves Denver, Greenwood Village, Cherry Creek, Parker, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. It contrasts its program with telehealth apps but does not say whether it offers telehealth itself.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for weight loss or any other service. It does not say whether medication is included in a price, whether insurance is accepted, or what the consultation costs. It does list a financing page, but the weight loss pages do not describe its terms.

The FAQ describes a 26-day or 43-day program. Both include a first two-hour meeting with the RN, pre-drawn syringes meant to cover a full diet cycle, weekly bioimpedance reports and weigh-ins, daily food log reviews, and a three-week maintenance phase. Because none of these items has a published price, you will need to ask what each one costs.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with the prescriber. Ask which of the three named people runs your program, and whether you will see that person at each visit or a different member of the team.

Next, ask what the price covers. Is medication included in the program fee or billed separately? Are the pre-drawn syringes part of the 26-day or 43-day price? What do follow-up visits, weigh-ins and lab work cost, and are any of them extra?

Then ask about the medication itself. The pages name GLP #1, GLP #2 and HCG but do not give generic names. Ask for the generic name of each, whether it is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it.

Finally, ask about money going out. Is there a consultation fee, and is it credited if you go ahead? Does it take insurance or HSA funds? What are the cancellation terms, and what is refunded if you stop partway through? Ask for the answers in writing before you pay.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live near Greenwood Village or can travel there, you want in-person care, and you are prepared to pay out of pocket once you have the prescriber, medication and cancellation answers in writing. It may not suit you if you need a published price before you call, or if you need insurance to cover any part of it.
