What is Hollywood Body & Face?

Hollywood Body & Face is a medical spa, and most of its menu is cosmetic: Botox, dermal filler, CoolSculpting Elite, laser treatments and skin care. Weight loss injections are one service on that list, offered as a medication plan built on GLP-1 injections. The clinic does not name the specific medication.

It has four locations: Colorado Springs, Westminster, Englewood in the Denver metro area, and Wheat Ridge. The weight loss plan starts with a video visit with a Physician Assistant. In its own words: "Meet with our Physician Assistant for a quick virtual visit over Zoom to see if you're a good fit for treatment." Monthly check-ins are with a medical provider, but no prescriber is named for the program, and the clinic does not list its hours.

What does it cost?

The weight loss plan is $450 for the first month, which the clinic calls a $100 savings, then $550 each month after. The clinic does not say whether the medication is included in that monthly price. Treatment also requires a three-month commitment.

The consultation fee is unclear. The weight loss page lists a one-time $50 consultation fee, but the home page FAQ says consultations are complimentary at all locations.

Payment is through Cherry payment plans. The clinic does not say whether it accepts insurance. Its VIP Membership costs $183 per month, but it covers one treatment from a list of skin and body services, and weight loss is not on that list. A "new client special" also shows $27 for a first weight loss shot, with an asterisk the page does not explain.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription, and whether that person is a physician or a physician assistant. Ask who reviews your progress each month.

Ask whether the $550 includes the medication, and what you would pay if it does not. Ask which medication it is, and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask what lab work and follow-up visits cost, and whether they are extra.

Ask whether the $50 consultation is charged, and whether the $27 first shot special applies to the three-month plan. Ask how cancellation works if you want to stop early. Ask whether HSA or FSA cards are accepted, and which of the four offices handles your video visit and check-ins.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are already interested in cosmetic work, or you want a medical spa that also runs a weight loss program, and you can commit to monthly payments for at least three months. Before you pay, get the prescriber, the medication and the monthly price in writing, because the clinic does not publish those details.
