About Ember Medical

What is Ember Medical?

Ember Medical is a medical wellness and aesthetics practice at 3855 Ambrosia Street, Suite 201, Castle Rock, CO 80109. The phone number is 720-504-4236. It was known as Colorado Beauty RN until it took its current name, and the move kept the same providers and the same care. Jenny Garland, FNP-C, is the only prescriber named. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder and medical director.

Medical Weight Management and Hormone Optimization both run through the Ember Medical Membership, which includes lab review, secure messaging, and prescription management. The practice also offers Injectables, Skin Health, and Laser Therapy, and it has a separate Aesthetic Membership. Hormone care includes bioidentical hormone replacement therapy when it is clinically appropriate. It does not name a specific weight-loss medication. Google rates it 5 from 362 reviews. Hours are Tuesday 9 to 7, Wednesday 9 to 7:30, Thursday 10:30 to 7, Friday 9 to 5:30, and Sunday 9 to 5:30, by appointment only. It is closed Monday and Saturday.

In its own words, on weight care: "Our goal is not rapid loss at any cost."

What does it cost?

The Ember Medical Membership is $199 a month, or $349 a month for two. The Discovery Call is complimentary and lasts 15 minutes. The Spark Visit fee is $199, and it is credited toward your first month if you join the same day. The Aesthetic Membership is a separate $209 a month.

Ember does not say whether medication is included in the membership price, and it does not publish a separate price for weight management. It is private pay and not an insurance plan. It does not bill Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or commercial insurance for the membership or office visits, though many members use commercial insurance for eligible labs and prescriptions. Because it has opted out of Medicare, Medicare beneficiaries should call before enrolling. Minimum commitments, renewal, and cancellation are set by a signed membership agreement and the Refund & Cancellation Policy, so ask for both before you pay.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes and signs your prescriptions, and whether that is Jenny Garland or another clinician. Ask whether the membership fee covers the medication itself. If a weight plan includes a prescription, ask which drug it is and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask what lab tests cost and whether they are billed to you or to your insurance. Ask whether follow-up can happen by video or phone, since Ember does not say whether it offers telehealth. Ask how long the practice has been open, since it does not state that either. Finally, ask how cancellation and renewal work, and what you would owe if you decide not to continue after the Spark Visit.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want ongoing, membership-based care for hormones or weight, you are ready to pay a monthly fee yourself, and you want one clinician reviewing your labs over time. If you are looking for a one-time visit billed to insurance, this is not built for that.
