About Lean Lab
What is Lean Lab?
Lean Lab P.C. is a medically supervised clinic in Pasadena, California, with a second office in Westlake Village. It describes itself as a medical weight loss and regenerative health clinic. Most of its marketing centers on a GLP-1 program using semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic), tirzepatide (Zepbound, Mounjaro) and retatrutide. It also offers bioidentical hormone therapy (BHRT), peptide therapy, and NAD+ and anti-aging treatments, plus IV therapy, Botox and Dysport, XERF skin tightening and body composition scans. In its own words: "We don't hand you a prescription and send you home."
The clinic does not name the physicians or providers who prescribe, and it does not say how many years it has been open. Its Google listing shows a 5 rating from 15 reviews.

What does it cost?
The weight loss program is billed monthly. The month-to-month GLP-1/GIP program is $599 a month, based on dose, and a GLP-1 only option is listed at $499 a month. The initial consultation is $250, waived for members of its 3, 6 or 12 month packages. Those packages cost $1,897 for 3 months, $3,899 for 6 months and $7,788 for 12 months. The 12 month package includes a full 12 month supply of GIP based medication, and additional fees apply for doses over 7.5mg. The clinic does not accept insurance, card payments may carry a processing adjustment of up to 3%, and it does not offer refunds. Botox and Dysport run $13 a unit, or $12 for members. A concierge membership is $349 a month. The clinic does not publish prices for hormone or peptide therapy, and it does not state cancellation terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with who signs the prescription. A provider sets your protocol after the first visit, so ask who that provider is and what their credentials are before you pay.
Ask whether the $599 monthly fee covers the medication itself, and whether the drug is the brand-name product or a compounded version. Ask what labs, body scans and follow-up visits cost each month. Ask how a month-to-month plan is cancelled, and what happens to a prepaid package if you stop early, since refunds are not offered.
Its medications and therapies have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA, and some protocols use off-label use of approved drugs. Ask your provider what that means for your own treatment. Ask whether telehealth visits are available, since the clinic does not say, and ask for hormone and peptide prices in writing.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want in-person, cash-pay medical weight loss near Pasadena or Westlake Village, and you are willing to get the prescriber's name, the full monthly cost and the cancellation terms in writing before you pay. It is a harder fit if you need insurance billing or expect a refund if you change your mind early.
