About Inspire Medical Group

What is Inspire Medical Group?

Inspire Medical Group is a multi-service practice offering care in person and by telehealth. Weight loss is one of its services, alongside primary care, internal medicine and pediatrics. It also runs a corporate wellness program for employers and sells supplements and protein powder. The clinic also uses the names Inspire Medical Care and Inspire Cares, and it says it is separate from Inspire Diagnostics.

The weight loss program centers on prescription GLP-1 medication. In its own words: its clinicians "can prescribe the GLP-1 medication that best suits" a patient's plan, and it names Semaglutide, Liraglutide, tirzepatide, Wegovy, Saxenda, Ozempic and Mounjaro. Phentermine, an appetite suppressant, is also listed. It does not publish a street address or office hours. The phone number is 408-965-9595. Google shows the practice at 3.9 from 7 reviews.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for weight loss, medication or a consultation. It does not say whether any price includes the medication, and it does not mention financing, an HSA or membership terms. On insurance, it states: "We accept patients of all ages, with or without insurance." It does not say which plans it takes. The corporate wellness section offers a free consultation, and it says there is no commitment or agreement to sign, but that offer is for employers and uses a different number, 949-694-5700.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who will write your prescription. The clinic does not name a prescriber, so ask for the clinician's name and credentials, and ask whether they are licensed in your state. Its practitioners are reported to be licensed in every state, so confirm that covers you.

Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication. If not, ask what the medication costs on top of it.

Ask what "compounded" means for the semaglutide and tirzepatide options. The clinic offers them "in a compounded version" and does not explain the term. Ask who makes the compounded product, how it differs from brand-name Wegovy, Ozempic or Mounjaro, and whether your plan would use the brand name.

Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether they are billed separately. Ask how cancellation works and whether you must commit for a set number of months.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want one practice for weight loss and general primary care, are comfortable starting by video, and will ask the questions above before paying. If you need a named prescriber or published prices before you call, this clinic does not publish either one.

We have not yet collected published prices or prescriber credentials for this clinic. When we do, they will appear here with a link to the page they came from — or a note saying the clinic publishes none, which is itself worth knowing. Call them for a price in the meantime.
