About Renew Science Med Spa

What is Renew Science Med Spa?

Renew Science Med Spa is a medical spa at 194 Wikiup Drive in Santa Rosa, CA 95403, reachable at (707) 828-8440. Most of what it offers is aesthetic work: Botox and other neurotoxins, filler, laser hair removal, microneedling with PRP, TOX parties and Alastin skincare. Weight loss management and diabetes management are the two services that involve prescription medication.

Naya Barretto is the only prescriber the clinic names. She is described as a board-certified nurse practitioner, and her listed education includes an MSN in family nurse practitioner studies from Sonoma State University.

The weight loss program combines nutrition guidance, targeted supplements, supervised fasting and medical support. The clinic describes its approach as lifestyle coaching, medications including GLP-1 agonists such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound, and continuous glucose monitor use. The medications it names are Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound, along with semaglutide options. The clinic also sells Prolon, a fasting-mimicking diet, through its shop.

It has a 5-star rating on Google from 44 reviews. Besides Santa Rosa, it names Healdsburg, Windsor, Cloverdale, Geyserville, Hopland, Rohnert Park and Novato as places it serves.

What does it cost?

The weight loss program starts with a $190 first visit. The monthly plan is $380 for weekly visits, and the clinic does not say whether medication is included in that price.

Botox or Dysport is $15 a unit, and Xeomin or Jeuveau is $14 a unit. TOX parties run $13 a unit for Botox, $13 for 3 units of Dysport, and $12 for 3 units of Jeuveau or Xeomin. Laser hair removal is $100 for fifteen minutes or for the top of the lip, and $200 for underarms. Filler is $650 a syringe or $450 for a half syringe. A SkinPen session is $500, or $1275 for a package of three with 15% off.

It does not publish prices for Diabetes Management or Alastin Skincare. It does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it does not mention telehealth. The menu lists a payment plan through Cherry, but the clinic does not explain its terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes your prescription and whether Naya Barretto will be your prescriber. The About page also profiles a physician, David Chappell, MD, who practices at a different office in Petaluma. Ask whether he has any role in your care here.

Ask whether the $380 monthly fee includes the medication. If it does not, ask what a month of medication costs. Ask whether each GLP-1 medicine is a brand-name product or a compounded version.

Ask what the first-visit labs, follow-up visits and continuous glucose monitor cost. Ask how the monthly plan can be cancelled and whether any part of it is refundable.

Ask whether the clinic bills insurance at all, and how the Cherry payment plan works. Weekday closing time is listed as 6 PM on one page and 5 PM on another, so confirm the hours before you go.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want aesthetic treatments and a weight loss or diabetes program in one office, and you are comfortable paying cash. Get the medication cost and the monthly terms in writing before you start. If insurance billing matters to you, ask about it before you book.
