What is Nourish Medical Center?
Nourish Medical Center is a naturopathic and functional medicine practice at 10505 Sorrento Valley Road, Suite 225, San Diego, CA 92121. Its phone number is (619) 345-3111. It calls itself a family medical clinic and serves patients in San Diego and across California. Its Google listing shows a 4.8 rating from 102 reviews. Dr. Chelsea Gordon is the one person named as a prescriber, and no credentials are published for her.
The practice offers medical visits, labs, pediatric consults, hair and skin consults, nutrient IVs and shots, pain relief, coaching and weight management. Weight management has the most detail. Through its DrWell subscription platform, it offers three GLP-1 medications: Semaglutide, Tirzepatide and GLP-1 Squared. It also lists compounded hormones, peptides for weight management, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy among its treatments. Its longevity therapies are prescribed by a Nourish provider and sourced through 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies. Video consults are listed on the menu.
What does it cost?
The GLP-1 medications are billed monthly. Semaglutide is $350 a month, and Tirzepatide and GLP-1 Squared are $479 a month each. Shipping is free and supplies are included. Prices are listed as staying the same from month to month. Blood draws at the clinic cost $35. No consultation fee is published, and no hormone therapy prices are published either.
It does not say whether the monthly GLP-1 price includes the medication, doctor visits or lab work. It also does not say whether it accepts insurance. Its lab page mentions insurance discussions at appointments, but that is not the same as naming the plans it takes.
Subscriptions run month to month, and they renew on their own. In its own words: "All commitments renew automatically until cancelled." You can cancel and re-enroll later, but you need to give 2 weeks' notice before your next prescription is due.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs your prescription, and ask what Dr. Gordon's credentials are, since none are published. Ask whether the $350 or $479 monthly fee covers doctor visits, follow-up and lab work, or only the medication and supplies. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded. Its FAQ notes that DrWell compounded products have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or efficacy, so ask what that means for the option you choose.
Ask what follow-up care costs. The clinic lists a first visit at at least an hour and follow-ups at 15 to 45 minutes, but no fees for either. Ask whether video visits carry a separate charge, whether the clinic accepts your insurance, and how cancellation works. Find out whether a cancellation request by phone or email counts as on time if it comes 2 weeks before your next shipment.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a naturopathic and functional approach, you can get to the San Diego office or are comfortable with video visits, and you are ready to pay monthly out of pocket. It is a weaker fit if you need every price published before you book, or if you need the prescriber's credentials confirmed before you enroll.
