About CURE

What is CURE?

CURE is a physician-led wellness practice with offices in Westlake Village and Malibu, California. The Westlake Village office sits inside a Four Seasons Hotel. Dr. Lisa Benya, D.O., is the physician named as prescriber. She co-founded the practice and trained at the Cleveland Clinic. The practice does not say when it opened.

The menu is wide, and weight loss is one part of it. The weight-loss offering is a physician-led medical program, and no medication is named for it. Hormone care includes a hormone consultation with testing, plus hormone optimization and metabolic health programs. For longevity, the practice lists an Executive Physical, a Longevity & Performance Program and two membership tiers. It also offers NAD+ IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, TMS, MedSpa injectables (Botox, Dysport and Daxxify), psychiatric medication review and fertility care coordination. Peptide therapy is not listed by name. Google lists the business as a medical spa and shows a 4.5 rating from 50 reviews. In its own words: "Care is not a transaction. It is a relationship."

What does it cost?

Published prices include a private physician consultation from $750, a hormone consultation from $250 per visit, and an Executive Physical from $15,000. Hyperbaric oxygen is $300 a session, psychiatry or medication review is $350 an hour, and B12, vitamin D and NAD+ injections start at $75. Membership is $25,000 a year, or $250,000 a year for the Longevity tier. Both are by application, and the membership terms state: "All memberships are contingent upon application approval."

The hormone price does not say whether medication is included. The practice does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it does not describe financing, HSA use or how a membership is cancelled. It does not publish a price for the weight-loss program at all. The practice also says: "Pricing follows the conversation, never the cart." Treat the figures above as starting points.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription for the weight-loss program, and whether Dr. Benya oversees it or another clinician does. Ask which medication the program uses, whether it is brand-name or compounded, and what the full program costs from the first visit onward.

Ask whether the hormone consultation fee covers any medication, and what follow-up visits and lab work cost after that. If you are considering membership, ask what it includes beyond the yearly physical, how to cancel, and whether any fees are refunded. Ask whether telehealth is available for follow-up, since the practice does not say. Finally, ask whether insurance is billed and whether HSA cards are accepted. Call (310) 943-7353 to put these questions to the team.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want physician-led care from one practice for several different needs, you are able to pay cash, and you are comfortable getting the weight-loss price and medication details by phone before you commit. It may not suit you if you need a published weight-loss price and medication name before you book anything.
