About Kismet Medical + Aesthetics

What is Kismet Medical + Aesthetics?

Kismet Medical + Aesthetics is a physician-led med spa at 3877 Shawn Way #168 in Loomis, California, 95650. Its phone number is 916-250-1010. Most of what it offers is cosmetic, including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, laser treatments, body contouring and skin care. Dermatology, medical weight loss and hormone management are also on the list.

The prescribing physician is Dr. Kismet Thompson Roberts, MD, described as a board-certified family medicine physician who can prescribe medications and order labs. The weight loss program uses semaglutide and tirzepatide, and names Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound. Hormone management covers testing and treatment for energy, mood and metabolism, for women and men, though specific hormone products are not named. It does not list peptide therapy as its own treatment. In its own words: "Labs first, then medication choice, then dose titration as your body responds," which describes the order the work follows. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and the first Saturday of the month, 9am to 1pm. It has a Google rating of 5 from 57 reviews.

What does it cost?

Consultations start at $150 and are waived if services are performed or booked at the consultation. Office visits for medical weight loss start at $250 and vary by plan. The weight loss program lists a cash option: a 12-week semaglutide package, including consultation, monthly follow-ups, monitoring, coaching and B12 injections, for $1000, then $350 a month regardless of dose. Tirzepatide on the same basis is $1750, then $585 a month. It does not say whether the medication itself is included in those amounts.

The program also lists a $300 consultation and $250 monthly visits for patients whose insurance covers Wegovy or Zepbound, with a note that you may be eligible for reimbursement. The practice itself does not accept insurance and cannot bill it. Some services may be covered by an HSA or FSA. It does not publish membership terms or a cancellation policy.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication, and what the medication costs if it does not. Ask whether the semaglutide or tirzepatide you would receive is brand-name or compounded. The program describes compounded peptides for patients who cannot get prescription coverage, so you should know which one you are paying for. Ask what labs and extra follow-up visits cost on top of the monthly fee. Ask how to cancel, whether a membership applies, and whether any refund is possible. Ask whether video visits are available, since the practice does not say. Ask who handles your monthly visits and who signs each prescription, and confirm in writing which consultation fee applies.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live close enough to Loomis to come in person, can pay cash for visits and medication, and want a board-certified physician to order labs and manage your prescriptions. If you need insurance to cover the bill, or you want video visits, get those answers before you book.
