What is Artemedica?

Artemedica is a plastic surgery and medical spa with offices in Santa Rosa and Healdsburg, and it says it has operated since 2011. Most of its work is cosmetic, from BOTOX and fillers to CoolSculpting and EMSCULPT. Victor Lacombe, M.D., is the physician it names as the injection doctor for weight loss, and the clinic describes him as double-board certified in facial plastic surgery. Google lists the practice at 4.7 from 323 reviews.

Of the four services you might be considering, it offers weight loss, peptide therapy and NAD+ injections. Hormone therapy is not among the services it describes. In its own words: "At Artemedica, we’re proud to offer peptide and enzyme therapy to men and women 18+ years old at our Santa Rosa location." Its Skinny Shot program comes in three versions: semaglutide blended with L Carnitine, tirzepatide blended with BPC15, and retatrutide blended with BPC15 and glucagon. The clinic calls each one a compound, and treatment means weekly injections at the office.

What does it cost?

Artemedica does not publish prices. It says Skinny Shots are priced per month, but no dollar figure appears, and it does not say whether the monthly price includes the medication. Consultations are free, and you contact the Santa Rosa office to book one. On length of treatment, it says: "Your cosmetic goals will determine how many months you will need to be enrolled in the weight loss injection program." Its Elite IV Therapy Club memberships are advertised without a price. It lists financing options and a rewards program but gives no terms, and it does not say whether it accepts insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who signs the prescription for each injection, and whether that physician examines you before the first dose. Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication, the weekly visits, the blood tests and the check-ins, and what each costs if it doesn't. Ask whether each medication is FDA-approved or compounded, and which pharmacy makes it. Ask what BPC15 is, why it is blended in, and what the risks are for you in particular.

Ask who prescribes the peptide and NAD+ treatments, since Artemedica does not name a prescriber for those. Ask whether your eligibility will be checked against the body mass index and weight-related health conditions the clinic lists. Ask about cancellation, minimum enrollment, and whether follow-up can be done by telehealth, which is not stated. Ask for office hours, and whether hormone therapy is available at all.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want weight loss, peptide or NAD+ care from a practice that also does cosmetic work, and you are ready to get the monthly price, the medication terms and the prescriber's name in writing before you pay. It is a weaker fit if you need hormone therapy or want prices online before you call.
