What is Wellness-Edge?
Wellness-Edge is a physician-led practice at 6049 Douglas Blvd, Suite 9, in Granite Bay, California. Denise Sweeney, MD, is the one prescriber listed, and the practice describes her as a board certified physician. Her training includes an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center from 1998 to 2002.
Medical weight loss is the lead program. It is a monthly, peptide-assisted program that includes a GLP-1 receptor peptide option. In its own words: "cleanly sourced USA manufactured (not compounded) peptides and FDA approved prescription drugs." The practice also offers hormone replacement therapy, women's gyn wellness visits, health, genetic, hereditary cancer and bone density testing, and aesthetic treatments such as skin rejuvenation and laser work. Google lists it as a medical spa, with a rating of 5 from 12 reviews. Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. The office is closed most Fridays, with occasional availability.
What does it cost?
Three four-week programs have set prices. Core Metabolic Reset is $599 every 4 weeks, Accelerated Multi-System Strategy is $649 every 4 weeks, and Advanced Dual-Pathway Support is $699 every 4 weeks. Guided Rx Support starts at $250 every 4 weeks, for patients who already get a qualifying medication through their insurance. Building a custom peptide stack from that prescription carries an extra fee. Maintenance and Micro-Dosing are priced per peptide, and no figure is given. The program prices do not say whether medication is included, so that is the first thing to ask. The FAQ says labs are included in the flat monthly fee. It does not publish a consultation fee.
The practice is cash pay only and is not contracted with any insurance carrier, including Medicare. It can provide a superbill for PPO or out-of-network reimbursement, and it accepts HSA cards. Its maintenance option promises help keeping the weight off for at least 1 year. Cancellation terms are not published.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication itself, or whether the drug is billed on top of it. Ask which products each program uses, whether they are FDA approved prescriptions or peptides, and where they are made. Ask who writes the prescription and who follows your labs and dose. Ask what follow-up visits, lab work and the consultation cost outside the program. Ask how cancellation works and whether the one-year maintenance promise carries a commitment. If you live outside Granite Bay, ask how telehealth works, since it is offered to California residents and the medication is shipped with tracking. Ask about Friday availability before you plan a visit around it.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are paying cash for medical weight loss or hormone care, want monthly physician-led check-ins, and can either get to Granite Bay on a weekday or live in California and can manage by telehealth. It is not a fit if you need insurance billing, urgent care or a primary care home, since the practice says it does not provide those.
