About AMAesthetics

What is AMAesthetics?

AMAesthetics is a medical spa at 1652 West Texas Street 129 in Fairfield, CA 94533. Most of its work is injectable aesthetic treatment: neurotoxins such as Botox, Jeuveau and Xeomin, dermal fillers including Juvederm and Restylane Kysse, and microneedling. It also runs a medical weight loss program using GLP-1 medications, a testosterone optimization program, and an NAD+ Cellular Optimization program. It offers IV hydration and B12 injections as well.

Dr. Cliff Liu is the prescriber named for the practice. He is a co-owner. The office is by appointment only, and you book by texting 707-504-8746. Google lists it as a medical clinic with a 4.9 rating from 28 reviews.

What does it cost?

The weight loss program has two listed prices. One shows a program starting at $399 a month with medication billed separately. The other shows a 2-month Medical Weight Loss Jumpstart at $499 a month and says everything needed is included. It does not say which one applies to you, so ask.

The testosterone optimization program starts at $299 a month, and the listing does not say whether medication is included. The 5-week NAD+ program is $299. Microneedling is $400 a session. The upper face wrinkle treatment is $400, with an additional $150 brand charge for Botox and Dysport. The Lip + Wrinkle Refresh bundle is $999. In its own words: "A complimentary consultation with our practitioners will help create a personalized plan for you."

It does not say whether it accepts insurance. It does not publish financing, HSA terms, membership length or cancellation terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes the prescription for the weight loss and testosterone programs, and whether that is Dr. Liu. Ask whether the monthly fee covers the GLP-1 medication, and whether the drug is brand-name or compounded. Ask what the monthly fee covers for each program, and what lab work and follow-up visits cost on top of it.

Ask how cancellation works for the monthly programs, and whether you can stop at the end of a month. Ask whether insurance is accepted and whether any visits are done by telehealth, since neither is stated. The home page also lists a Mobile Service with no details, so ask what that means and what it costs. For the NAD+ program, ask who prescribes it and what it includes.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live near Fairfield, want injectable aesthetic work or a cash-pay weight loss or testosterone program, and are willing to get written answers on the prescriber, the medication cost and the cancellation terms before you pay.
