What is Nurvana Aesthetics & Wellness?
Nurvana Aesthetics & Wellness is a medical spa at 151 Aptos Village Way, Suite 306, in Aptos, California. It was formerly Beauty Lounge Med Spa. Most of what it does is aesthetic work: microneedling, facials and laser, and Dysport, Daxxify and RHA fillers. The rest is a set of programs in GLP-1 weight loss, IV and vitamin infusions, lab panels it calls health optimization, and peptide therapy. Laura Purdy, MBA, MD is the physician listed as prescriber and medical director. Two registered nurses, Jody Work, BSN, RN and Katie Bergh, MSN, RN, carry out treatments. It has a 4.9 Google rating from 61 reviews.
For weight loss, the clinic describes itself this way: "Physician-supervised GLP-1 therapy from a real clinic in Aptos, not a faceless app." Its programs use compounded medications from licensed pharmacies, with semaglutide and tirzepatide. It says it does not dispense Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro or Zepbound. Consultations can be held by secure video, and the first injection can be given in the clinic or shipped to you.
What does it cost?
Weight loss is priced by the month. The Starter plan is $299 a month on a three-month subscription or $349 a month month-to-month. Enhanced, which uses the dual-receptor medication, is $399 or $449. Optimized, which adds biomarker panels, a monthly IV therapy session and priority support, is $549 or $599. The initial consultation is free. Each plan lists its weekly medication as included, but the clinic does not say whether the monthly price covers everything else. It also does not state cancellation terms for these programs.
The clinic is cash pay. It says no insurance is required, and it does not say whether it accepts insurance. It lists HSA/FSA eligibility. It does not publish prices for its peptide protocols or its lab panels. Its aesthetic packages run from $1,395 to $2,895 per package.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs your prescription and who reviews your labs and follow-up. Ask whether the monthly price includes the medication, check-ins, lab work and dose changes, and what the labs cost if they do not. Ask whether the medication is compounded and what that means for you, since the clinic itself says compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Ask how to cancel a month-to-month plan and what happens to the three-month rate if you stop early. For peptide therapy, ask what a protocol costs before any visit. It does not list hours, so ask when the team can be reached by phone.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an in-person clinic in Aptos, you are comfortable paying cash every month, and you want a named physician prescriber with labs and check-ins built into the program. It is worth a closer look before you book if you need insurance billing, a full price for peptide or lab work, or a written cancellation policy.
