What is My Wellness?
My Wellness is a nurse-led, physician-guided clinic at 7129 Gadsden Highway, Suite 207, in Trussville, Alabama. Stacey Elrod, BSN, RN, NCSN, founded it. The physician named for medical oversight is Dr. Gidon Akler, MD, and he is the one prescriber the clinic names.
The clinic offers three services: medical weight loss, IV hydration and wellness support, and wellness optimization. Peptide therapies are also listed. The weight loss program may include GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP medications when appropriate. The first visit includes a consultation, a medical history review, and an InBody body composition scan. New clients complete online intake forms, a medical questionnaire, and signed waivers before the clinic will schedule that visit. All visits are by appointment only, and you can call or text 205.508.3312. It has a Google rating of 5 from 20 reviews.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices, consultation fees, or membership fees. It also does not say whether medication is included in any price. In its own words: "Medication pricing may vary depending on treatment plan and dosage."
Accepted payments are cash, ACH bank payments, Venmo Business, and credit or debit cards processed through Stripe. A processing fee applies to card and Venmo payments beginning January 2026. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. The clinic does not say whether it accepts insurance. Cancellations follow its Refund & Cancellation Policy, and medication sales are final once products leave the clinic or are ordered for a client.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who will sign your prescription and how often you will meet Dr. Akler. Ask whether the program price includes medication, and what the medication costs on its own. Ask whether any medication is brand name or compounded. Some peptides are not FDA approved and may be used off-label, so ask which peptides are offered and what that means for your consent.
Ask what the InBody scan, follow-up visits, and any lab work cost, and who pays for each. Ask whether telehealth is available, since the clinic does not say. Ask whether it accepts insurance or can give you a receipt you can submit to an HSA. Finally, get the current Refund & Cancellation Policy in writing before you pay, and ask what happens to your plan if you stop partway through.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want physician oversight alongside nursing-led support, you are interested in medical weight loss, IV hydration, or wellness optimization, and you are ready to pay out of pocket and confirm medication costs before booking. Most clients qualify with a BMI of 27 or higher, or a BMI of 25 or higher with a health-related condition, by the clinic's stated criteria. The clinic does not prescribe for cosmetic purposes. If you need a published price list before you call, you will have to ask for one.
