About Drip Trussville
What is Drip Trussville?
Drip Trussville is a doctor-owned and operated IV therapy practice. Its main business is IV drips and vitamin boosters, given in a lounge in Trussville, with a second lounge on Highway 280. It also offers medical weight loss, a mobile service where a licensed nurse visits homes, offices and hotels in the Birmingham area and North Alabama, and memberships. New clients can start with a free intro session. Google lists it as a weight loss service with a 4.9 rating from 76 reviews.
The weight loss program uses semaglutide and tirzepatide, and the medication is compounded rather than brand-name. In its own words: "Physician-supervised Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, the same medications behind Ozempic and Mounjaro, prescribed and monitored by our medical team."
It does not say which physician signs the prescriptions. It does say a nurse practitioner handles the first consultation by Zoom, and that every prescription is issued under the supervision of a physician medical director. Ask for the name of the physician who signs yours before you pay.
What does it cost?
Weight loss is billed monthly. Semaglutide is $129 a month and tirzepatide is $239 a month, and both prices include the medication. The first step is a $49 telehealth evaluation. Check-ins at months 1, 3 and 6 are included. Labs, if needed, are billed separately, and the clinic does not state their cost. It does not publish a price for an in-person visit. It takes no insurance and lists no deductibles or co-pays.
Other services are priced separately. IV drips start at $95, the Maximum Effort drip is $179, NAD+ starts at $229, and boosters start at $19. A mobile visit adds a $50 travel fee. Memberships start at $99 a month and include one drip or four boosters, 25% off most services, and credits that roll over and never expire. It does not publish cancellation terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which physician signs your prescription and how that physician reviews your history. Ask whether the $129 or $239 covers only the medication or the check-ins too, and what changes in the monthly price if your dose changes. Ask which pharmacy compounds the medication and how it compares with the brand-name drug.
Ask what the labs cost and whether you need them before you start. Ask what an in-person visit costs, since the $49 fee is for the telehealth evaluation. Ask which states the telehealth service covers, and how to cancel a monthly plan or membership.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want cash-pay medical weight loss and would also use IV or vitamin services in the same place. If you need the prescribing physician's name, an in-person price or written cancellation terms before you pay, get those answers first.
