About Recovery Room

What is Recovery Room?

Recovery Room is a hydration medical spa at 281 South McGregor Avenue, Mobile, AL 36608. IV hydration is its core service, and Google lists it as a medical spa with a 4.6 rating from 43 reviews. It also offers injections, IV NAD treatment, NADIA skincare, a HOCATT ozone sauna, CellCore and other supplements, customized weight loss programs, telehealth visits, and Restore, a hormone program for women going through perimenopause and menopause.

Christopher Garner and Dr. Michael W. Meshad are the prescribers it names. Its staff includes nurse practitioners, registered nurses and paramedics. Its Basic Elements infusion lists Zofran, Toradol and Pepcid. It is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm, and it is closed Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome until 4:45pm on weekdays and 2:15pm on Saturdays.

What does it cost?

The Restore program is $200 a month, and that price includes medication. The membership also covers quarterly serum labs, follow-up visits, one-on-one messaging with your provider, and a 10% discount on CellCore supplements. The first step is an initial consultation at $250, which includes initial serum labwork. The provider discusses further testing and its costs after those first results.

B12 injections are $20 each. Lipo-B Plus and Biotin are $45 each for members and $60 for non-members. All injections are buy 3, get 1 free. Infusion memberships cost $50 a month on a 12-month commitment, $60 a month on 6 months, or $70 a month on 3 months. In its own words: "Your monthly charge is not a membership fee rather a prepay credit towards your first infusion each month." It does not publish prices for the weight loss program or NAD treatment. It takes cash pay, and the weight loss program is offered regardless of insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

It does not say which of its named clinicians prescribes Restore or any weight loss medication, so ask. Ask whether the $200 monthly fee covers every medication you would receive, and which medications those are. No GLP-1 or other weight loss medication is named, so ask which one the program uses and whether it is brand-name or compounded. Ask for the weight loss program price and the NAD treatment price, since neither is published. Ask what follow-up labs and extra testing cost, and whether any visit is billed to insurance. It does not state cancellation terms for its memberships, so ask how to cancel before you pay the first month.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want IV hydration, injections or the Restore program, you are ready to pay cash, and you want the prescriber and medication questions answered before you book. If you are mainly looking for a weight loss medication with a published price, this is worth a call only after you have asked those questions.
