About Recharge Tucson
What is Recharge Tucson?
Recharge Tucson is a wellness studio at 1011 N Craycroft Rd, #404-C, in Tucson, Arizona. Its main business is recovery and wellness sessions, including hyperbaric oxygen, contrast therapy, cold plunge, infrared sauna and red light. The two services it lists are Peptide Therapy and Wellness Therapies. The studio is open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 7pm, Friday from 10am to 6pm, and Saturday from 9am to 2pm. It is closed on Sundays. Google lists it as a health spa, with a rating of 5 from 12 reviews.
The only prescriber named is Fernando Galaviz, MD, listed as Medical Director, who provides medical oversight for the wellness and peptide programs. The founder, Kara Romero, is a registered nurse, and other registered nurses work on the team, but none of them are listed as prescribers. In its own words: "Peptide Therapy is available only after a Peptide Consultation with a qualified medical provider, who decides whether it's appropriate for you."
What does it cost?
The Peptide Consultation costs $79. It is a 45-minute, one-on-one visit with a medical provider who reviews your health history and decides whether Peptide Therapy is right for you. Peptide Therapy is not included in any membership or pass. Recharge does not publish prices for the peptide medication or the therapy itself, and it does not say whether medication is part of any price. The Weekly Peptide Follow-Up is a free 15-minute check-in for current clients. The Anti-Aging Blanket is listed at $39 for 45 minutes, and no prices are listed for the other wellness therapies. Recharge does not say whether it accepts insurance, and it does not describe telehealth.
What should you ask before you book?
Find out who writes the peptide prescription, and whether you will meet Dr. Galaviz or another provider. Since no peptide medications are named, ask which ones are used and whether they are brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills them. Ask whether the medication is billed separately or included in any plan price, and what it costs each month. Ask what follow-up visits, lab work or other charges apply beyond the free check-in. Ask whether insurance is accepted and whether you can pay with an HSA card. Find out how a plan is canceled, and whether the $79 consultation is refunded if you decide not to start. Last, ask whether telehealth is available for follow-up visits.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a wellness studio where Peptide Therapy is one option among many sessions, and you are comfortable paying $79 for a consultation before you know what the medication will cost. If you need insurance billing, telehealth, or a published price for the medication, get those answers in writing before you book.
