About Origins Naturopathic Health & Wellness

What is Origins Naturopathic Health & Wellness?

Origins Naturopathic Health & Wellness is a naturopathic practice at 2529 Raeford Road, Suite A, inside Integrative MedSpace in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Kerry Dunn, ND, is the only provider named. The About page describes her training as a Doctorate in Traditional Naturopathic Medicine from the Genesis School of Natural Health, a secondary degree as a Clinical Herbalist, and training as a blood analyst. Google lists it as a wellness center with a 4.9 rating from 27 reviews.

It lists these areas of care: hormonal imbalances (PMS, perimenopause, menopause), thyroid disorders and autoimmune conditions, digestive and gut health, chronic fatigue, inflammation and pain, weight resistance and metabolic health, stress, adrenal dysfunction and mood support, and preventative wellness and longevity care. It also offers a blood analysis and nutritional review, and a hair analysis. In its own words: "Your plan may include nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle guidance, and integrative therapies."

What does it cost?

It is self-pay and does not participate with insurance plans. The initial appointment fee is $350. That fee covers the first visit's patient history review, Zyto scan, blood analysis, hair analysis and personalized treatment protocol. Follow-up visits are $55, and supplement costs are not included.

A Blood Analysis & Nutritional Review is $100 for a 30-minute visit, and hair analysis can be added to that visit for $75. In its own words: "Three strands of hair are collected and sent to an affiliate laboratory." A separate follow-up appointment is required to review the hair analysis.

It does not publish prices for weight loss, hormone therapy or longevity care. It does not say whether medication is included in any fee, and it does not mention financing or membership plans. Pediatric appointments for ages 2 and up are offered at no cost, but they are booked by phone only.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which of the listed areas it treats. Its notice says it does not evaluate or treat chronic pain, cancer or other serious medical conditions, yet chronic fatigue, inflammation and pain appear on its list of areas of care. Ask whether it prescribes any medication, and whether hormone therapy or medical weight loss is part of its hormonal imbalance or weight care. It does not say.

Ask what longevity care includes and what it costs, since it names it in one line with no detail. Ask how many visits a typical plan needs, whether the hair analysis follow-up is the $55 visit, and roughly what supplements cost each month. Ask whether any visit can be done by telehealth, what its hours are, and how cancellation and refunds on the $350 fee work. It does not publish any of these.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a naturopathic visit built around a full history review, blood analysis, and nutrition and supplement guidance, and you are ready to pay in cash. It is a weaker fit if you need medication, hormone therapy or medical weight loss, since it does not describe any of those. It is not a fit for emergency or acute care, as its notice states.
