What is Aeternitas?
Aeternitas is a physician-led longevity practice at 330 Billingsley Rd #211 in Charlotte, NC 28211. The phone number is 704-200-9911. Dr. Corey Helton, MD, is the only prescriber named. He is a board-certified family physician and the founder of the practice.
Its services fall into three groups. Measure covers testing and one-time assessments, from the Core Longevity Assessment up to the Advanced Longevity Assessment. Implement covers 12-week programs on one goal with a named clinician, including aerobic capacity, weight management, metabolic and heart health, a focused therapy program and a focused EMDR intensive. Membership is a year of physician-led care in three tiers, two of them called Foundation and Momentum. The deeper assessments are built around one day at the clinic, about four and three-quarter hours, and Dr. Helton reads every result before you see it. A registered dietitian, a licensed therapist and an exercise physiologist are part of the model, but none is named as a prescriber. Aeternitas does not name a GLP-1 or weight loss medication, hormone therapy or peptide therapy.
In its own words: "Care begins at our flagship clinic in Charlotte, NC, with virtual follow-up available where licensure allows."
What does it cost?
Aeternitas does not publish prices, a consultation fee or membership fees. It also does not say whether membership includes medication. It works on a direct-pay basis rather than through insurance, and it describes itself this way: "Aeternitas is a direct-pay practice with a deliberately limited membership panel."
If you join within 90 days of getting your results, what you paid for the assessment counts toward your membership. DEXA is listed as coming soon, so it is not yet offered.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs any prescription, and whether that will always be Dr. Helton. Ask whether the membership fee includes medication. If a drug becomes part of your plan, ask whether it is brand-name or compounded.
Ask the price of the assessment day. The deeper assessments include heart imaging, either a coronary artery calcium score when clinically appropriate or coronary CT angiography. Aeternitas says the CT angiography value is refunded if Dr. Helton decides it is not appropriate for you, so ask how that works. Ask which procedure is provided off-site, since one is marked that way.
Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, whether virtual follow-up is open to you in your state, and how cancellation works, including whether your assessment credit is refunded if you leave. Ask whether it takes patients from outside Charlotte, and what its hours are, since none are listed.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want testing and a written plan from a physician in Charlotte, can pay directly, and can come in person for a full assessment day. It is a weaker match if a specific weight loss, hormone or peptide medication is the main reason you are calling, since none of those is named.
