What is Integrative Health Practices?
Integrative Health Practices, or IHP, is an integrative primary and specialty care practice in Ellicott City, Maryland, founded in 2017. It is at 9501 Old Annapolis Road, Suite 205, Ellicott City, MD 21042, and is open Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm, and Friday, 9am to 4pm. In its own words: "insurance-based integrative primary and specialty care with a low concierge fee."
Its main work is functional medicine care from physicians, PAs and NPs, alongside nutrition counseling, breathwork, psychotherapy, reiki, infusion therapy, mistletoe therapy and an Aging and Health Optimization program. Its nutrition counseling lists weight loss among its goals. The only prescriber the clinic names is Lyn Stallings, RN, listed under nursing services. It names no weight-loss medication, hormone therapy or peptide therapy. Google shows the practice at 4.5 from 20 reviews.
What does it cost?
Functional medicine visits and psychotherapy are generally covered by insurance, and a Concierge Services Fee is required for functional medicine care. Nutrition counseling is $120 for a 60-minute initial or follow-up visit. Breathwork is $175 for a 1 hour and 45 minute appointment. Reiki is not covered by insurance, and the clinic shows two sets of reiki prices: $80 or $100 for 60 minutes, and $110 or $130 for 90 minutes.
Infusions are not covered by insurance either. Vitamin C runs from $190 to $300, glutathione from $100 to $120, and NAD from $300 to $400. The Myers Cocktail is $160. For mistletoe, patients pay the concierge fee and their first package of injection solution, while physician or PA visits are billed to insurance. The clinic publishes no price for the Aging and Health Optimization program, the concierge fee, the mistletoe package or psychotherapy.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes prescriptions. Ask whether Lyn Stallings, RN, prescribes, and which physicians, PAs or NPs you would see. Ask what the Aging and Health Optimization program includes, what it costs, and whether any medication is part of it. Ask how the concierge fee is charged, per visit or per month, and what cancellation costs, since neither is stated. Ask which services insurance covers and how your deductible applies to them. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost.
Ask whether the glutathione, NAD and vitamin C are compounded or brand-name, and which pharmacy supplies them. For mistletoe, the clinic's information notes that it has not been approved by the FDA for use in the United States, so ask what the injection solution is and what a course costs. Ask which reiki price applies, and whether telehealth is offered.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want insurance-covered integrative care with several kinds of support under one roof, and you are willing to pay cash for the concierge fee and for any infusion or reiki visit. It is a weaker match if you are looking for weight-loss medication, hormone therapy or peptides, since none is named.
