What is HealthFirst?
HealthFirst is a functional and alternative medicine practice with offices in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Greenwood Village, Colorado. The clinic names Jonathan Singer, DO, as its provider. It lists ten services, including chelation therapy, prolotherapy, intravenous nutrient infusions, ozone therapy, chronic fatigue care and Suboxone treatment for addiction recovery. Bioidentical hormone therapy is one of them. It does not list medical weight loss, peptide therapy or longevity medicine.
Its hormone program starts with a visit. In its own words: "Our physicians begin by reviewing your medical history and symptoms and performing a physical examination." The clinic then tests for over 30 hormones and metabolite markers and builds a customized formula for each patient, with occasional follow-up blood tests and dose adjustments when needed. The hormones it names are estradiol (E2), estriol (E3), estrone (E1), progesterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, testosterone and levothyroxine. Its physicians have offered bioidentical hormone therapy for more than 20 years.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices, a consultation fee, or whether medication is included in any price. It is a direct-pay, cash-based practice, so you pay for care yourself rather than through insurance. It does not publish financing, HSA or membership terms, and it does not say how cancellation works. Before you book, ask for the consultation fee, the cost of the first visit and blood work, and whether any hormone price includes the medication itself.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the hormone prescription and whether Jonathan Singer, DO, is the physician who would see you. Ask whether a monthly or program fee includes the medication, and whether the hormones are brand-name or compounded. Ask what the initial testing, the follow-up blood tests and any dose adjustments cost, and whether those are billed on top of the visit.
The hormones can be given as pellets, patches, pills, gels or injections, so ask which methods it uses and what each one costs. Ask whether any visits can be done by telehealth, since it does not say. Ask whether the Greenwood Village office offers the same program, and how cancellation works before you pay anything.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want bioidentical hormone therapy from a cash-pay practice, and you are willing to get prices, the prescriber's role and the medication terms in writing before you commit.
