About Medlogic

What is Medlogic?

Medlogic is a physician-led practice that started as a direct primary care office and has since added functional medicine and integrative cancer care. It has been caring for patients since 2016, with offices in Libertyville, Illinois and Kenosha, Wisconsin. Its prescribers are Jill Green, MD; Jenn Ron, MD, FACEP, ABOIM; Lauren Towle, MD, FMCP-M; and Michele Frese, NP.

Four of its services are sold as set programs: Hormone Management, Brain Health Checkup, Cancer Prevention Pathway and Nutrition Genome. Hormone Management is the program aimed most directly at hormone therapy. Dr. Towle provides the evaluation and personalized hormone plan through four one-on-one visits, which can be in person or virtual. In its own words: "The Hormone Management and replacement program for men and women provides clarity, balance, and expert guidance without the commitment of an ongoing membership." Weight loss and peptide therapy do not appear among its services.

The posted hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am to 5pm. Google shows a 5 rating from 16 reviews.

What does it cost?

Hormone Management is $2,000 as a clinician fee, or two payments of $1,000, the first due before the first appointment and the second before the lab review visit. Lab testing is separate, at $150 for salivary testing or $80 to $180 for bloodwork. Lab testing may be billed through insurance when applicable, though coverage is not guaranteed, and cash-pay options are available. It does not say whether the program fee includes any hormone medication.

The other programs follow the same pattern of a clinician fee plus testing. Brain Health Checkup has a $500 clinician fee and a $1500 first-time lab panel, with repeat testing at $500 to $1000. Nutrition Genome is a $600 clinician fee plus a $325 test. Cancer Prevention Pathway is a $2,000 clinician fee. On the functional medicine side, a $900 visit can be applied toward a four-month program priced at $5,500.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which listed prescriber signs your hormone prescription. Ask whether any hormone medication is included in the $2,000, and if not, what it costs. It does not say whether a medication is brand-name or compounded, so ask directly. Ask which office runs the hormone program, Libertyville or Kenosha, since it does not say. Ask whether the four visits are billed to insurance, because the clinic only addresses lab testing. Ask which states a virtual visit can cover. Finally, ask what follow-up labs cost after the program ends, and how cancellation or a refund works if you pay in two installments. Neither is described.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a 3-month hormone program with a set fee and a named physician, you are open to visits in person or online, and you will get the medication and cancellation terms in writing before you pay. If you are looking for weight loss or peptide therapy, you will not find either service here.
