What is Heal Here Now?
Heal Here Now is a naturopathic clinic at 1612 NE 78th St. in Vancouver, Washington. It works mainly as a primary care practice for people of all ages with acute and chronic concerns, with food and environmental allergies as its specialty. Dr. Sheryl Wagner runs the clinic. She is a naturopathic physician who graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM, now NUNM) in 2007. The clinic's phone number is 360-433-2727. It is open Monday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tuesdays are by appointment, and it is closed Friday through Sunday.
The clinic offers ordering yearly labs, diagnosing acute and chronic illness, specialist referrals, ordering imaging, food and environmental allergy testing, NAET allergy treatment, dietary counsel, well child visits, sports physicals, and HRT, including TRT for men. Hormone therapy is one service among these, not the whole practice. Dr. Wagner describes her hormone work this way: "I started prescribing HRT (hormone replacement) 15 years ago for women and men wanting to ease the transition into the next phase of life." Google lists the clinic at 4.8 from 24 reviews, under the category naturopathic practitioner.
What does it cost?
Visits are priced per visit, and the clinic bills both insurance and cash. It is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Regence, Lifewise and Cigna, and it does not accept Kaiser, United Health, Apple Health or Molina.
For self-pay patients, a new adult complex visit is $375. The clinic calls this its most common appointment, and it includes in-house testing. A new adult visit of 45 to 60 minutes, for HRT or a focused visit, is $300. A new child visit is $200. Return visits cost $225 for 45 minutes, $175 for 30 minutes, and $125 for 15 minutes. NAET allergy treatment is $65 for established patients. Self-pay discounts apply to new patient visits and to return visits when insurance is not billed.
It does not publish prices for HRT or TRT medication. It also does not say whether medication is included in the visit price. It does not publish membership, financing or cancellation terms.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the HRT or TRT medication is included in the visit fee. If it is not, ask what the medication costs each month. Ask whether the medication is a brand-name product or a compounded one, and what it costs in each case.
Ask what follow-up looks like and what it costs. Find out how often the yearly labs are repeated, whether they are billed separately, and what each follow-up visit costs. Ask whether telehealth is available for follow-up, since the clinic does not say.
Ask about cancellation and refunds before you pay anything up front. If you plan to use insurance, ask whether HRT is covered under your plan, because the clinic's insurance list is short.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a naturopathic primary care doctor with an allergy focus, or hormone therapy from a clinician who says she has prescribed HRT for 15 years, and you are comfortable paying per visit for medication whose price you have not yet seen.
